I posted a thread yesterday saying how I was at my wits end last night, and I was thinking of doing something very silly.
forums moneysavingexpert. com/showthread.php?t=3389938
I am really sorry if it caused anybody any distress. I was at a real low and couldn't see a way out. Thanks for all your comments.
Well last night my wife came home, and saw me as a complete wreck. I think it scared the !!!! out of her, to be honest. I spoke in detail to her, and I think she was just relieved it was about 'cash'.
She said we'll sort it. My Dad will wait for his cash, although it his very high on my list to pay him back. Then, out of the blue this morning, a loan application that I'd made, was accepted, at a really low rate. So I can pay those decent people back, who entrusted me with their cash.
Without sounding too emotional, it was as if a Guardian Angel grabbed me from deaths door last night. Then he/she worked wonders around the clock, to give me the loan (which we can afford just) and also give me breathing space with my Dad. I paid £200 into his bank this morning, as a gesture. He really is a great guy.
Now looking forward to my hols. Still a really heavy heart, but feeling as if the world on my shoulders, arent quite as heavy today.
Cheers everybody.

Hey, I was just reading your last thread. Thanks for the update. It's brilliant that you and your wife are working as a team. Make a plan together so you don't slip.I'm a qualified accountant but please make sure you get expert advice as any opinion is made in a private capacity.

I'm so pleased that you talk to us and your wife. So many people keep their worries locked up.
I hope you all have the best holiday ever.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -

I am so pleased you are feeling a little better and have come on to let us know. I read your thread and was worried about you. Great news that your wife is on side, you can help each other through.

I just wish the loan approval had come through yesterday to save you the anguish. However, it has got your wife fully on side and that is a real positive. Good luck for the future
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Glad things are looking up...:)
There are always people a lot worse off than yourself, but at the time, you never think that.
Depression is a horrible thing to suffer from, I myself have, and, although not related to financial worries, had some personal issues several years ago, and you're right, you feel at your wits end.
However, there is always someone around to listen to, it just helps not to bottle things up, so it's great that you were able to talk things over with wifey..:)
Hope you both enjoy your hols, don't forget the stick of rock and postcard...:D :T0
