Part time cashier job at bank

Hi all
Just a few things re my part time job.
I work as a weekend cashier at a bank and have done for a year or so (as am curently a student.)
The branch I'm based at is in my town; however I am often asked to cover at other branches (in nearby towns) for which the journey time is an extra 30+ minutes each way.
The company is happy to reimburse (additional) travel expenses, yet my manager has said that they are unable to reimburse the (additional) travelling time which on some occasions has been 90 minutes per day. Am I entitled to be paid for travel time on these instances, and if so is there a link to a webpage that I could show to my manager?
Secondly, the branches are open from 9.00 - 17.00 (standard hours in this industry.) However, we are required to arrive at 8.45 to open our tills and be ready to open to clients at 9am and often don't leave until 17.10 or 17.15. The company only pay us for the hours the branch is open to clients and not the time we are required to work before / after the branch is open. Is this acceptable?
Thirdly, I do not drive and am sometimes given lifts by a friend to one of the other branches. (This friend works in the area the other branch is in.) Last year the company reimbursed the mileage of these lifts; however I've been told by this manager this year that I can only reclaim mileage if I myself have driven. Is this correct or should I be paid mileage incurred when my mum has driven me?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

May I also add I am planning to leave this job either this autumn or next spring, so it is not a 'career.'0

Just politely say as you don't drive you cannot work in these branches.0

I used to do that when I first started in banking.
Just do as advised by Lokolo. Say you dont drive so you cannot get to these branches.
I told my branch manager I would go if they were to hire me a taxi there and back, which costs them loads so they chose someone else lol.
As for starting at 8:45 and leaving at 5:15 I used to take TOIL. Can you not take it as toil? You will need to look carefully in your contract as it prob states you are required to be set up and ready to work at 9am. Then obviously at 5, when you close, you cant just leave all your money exposed and need to balance, so you will have to stay until its done.
Thanks very much for your reply. How did you go about taking yours off as lieu; i.e. was it stipulated in your contract or did you have to barter with your manager?
My contract is only Saturdays and other work during the week is not contracted and is hence just cover.
The thing is I actually prefer working at the other branch (less busy, nicer people etc) so am happy to go there, it's just I'm wondering if I should be paid the additional travelling time (that is the extra time it takes me to get there compared to my base branch.)
One more thing is re the expenses question: is it wrong of my manager to tell me I can only reclaim mileage if I myself have done the driving?0 -
What does your contract say? If it says that you must be prepared to work at other branches then they don't have to pay you anything for travel time. I'm in the same position that I have to go to the main hospital site sometimes and it costs a fortune and takes time but I don't get either the money or the time back. It's just what it is.0

My contract is purely for Saturdays at the branch I am based and makes no mention of cover at other branches. It started out last year with me being asked to cover at another branch. At the time, I was told I'd be paid travel expenses, and took this to mean my time as well. However, my manager then told me (after I'd agreed to work at the other branch) that I wouldn't be paid for extra time.
I am paid for the cost of the train tickets, though.0
