Lowell?

Anybody ever dealt with them? I have a debt with them from shop direct for 174 pounds, which is what I defaulted. They say the current debt stands at 270 im assuming that I can't get around the interest charges and that? Also I am pretty stuck for cash, im trying to sort all debts out so what I am intending on doing is paying each debt 10 pounds a month say? I offered them that and they are saying they need to know things like my wages, my partners wages, child tax credits etc. Can they do this? I said it's my debt to sort not my partners, we aren't married so I didn't think they could? I thought it was reasonable for me to contact them and make the offer, so can they refuse it? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Oh I've delt with Lowell!!
No they have no right to ask about your partners income as its not a joint debt for a start. They should accept your offer, but you could always dispute the debt and ask them for all the info they have about you on their files.

Have a look through these letters and make no further offers until you can figure out why they want more from you than you think you owe.

These clowns had a default on my file until I challenged them through the OFT and they removed all traces of themselves from my file...default and all ....good luck (mine was also shop direct)

A dca can't add interest unless the original agreement has that express provision for; if / when it's sold on. They rarely do, so they can stuff the interest where a monkey.........:D

Another reason for doing a cca request for the sake of a quid...;)
Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:
