Denim dye run onto white sleeved top

My daughter got a Khaki top (from Bench, so yes it was expensive) with white sleeves for xmas and she loves it. Unfortunately my MIL washed it by hand but then spun everything together, including dark denim jeans. The blue from the jeans has stained one of the arms and we dont know how to get it out without spoiling the entire top. Any ideas please?

When I was a kid my white school shirts got washed with blue things. We got some stuff called colour run remover - you put it in the washing machine with the damaged clothes and it gets the colour out

The Colour Run Remover is made by Dylon and will be where the dyes, washing soda, etc is - saw some in Tesco yesterday when I was buying soda.

    Hi shoppaholicgirl,

If it's not too late don't let the top dry and pop it back into the washing machine with some borax. That usually works with my colour run disasters.

If it has already dried then try Dylon Colour Run Removerwhich usually sorts it out.

  • thankyou all for your help. I rushed over to Tesco and bought the colour run remover. Its now been soaking for over an hour and the blue marks have faded but not completely come out. I'll put it back in the washer with some Ace bleach when its finished soaking.
