I have had a busy few days and I havent been online much.

On Saturday I dragged my chair out of the shed and sat in the sun with my book, a mug of coffee and 4 ginger biscuits (no wonder my diet is not going well). I had mowed the lawn too and had no chores to do so took time out to enjoy the sunshine.

On Sunday I went to Mum's and in the morning we took ourselves out to a local National Trust property and looked around their gardens before having a pot of tea and sharing a slice of cake.

At SW on Monday I had lost half a pound. I hope to do better this week but I am finding it hard to eat great mounds of food as I only have a small appetite and once I have finished eating then I don't feel like eating more. Today, fridge forage soup is on the menu and it is made entirely from super free foods.:j

Yesterday I was at Remploy doing my job search and enquiring about the jobs I had been put in for...so far no news. As it was Tuesday I wandered over to the Rag Market to say hello to the two chaps who used to have stalls in my local market as they have moved back to the Rag Market. It was great catching up with them and on one stall I bought a two piece outfit for £2.50 as I was given friend's discount. Alas this ex Next item doesnt fit as even at a size 14 it is cut rather small so I shall pass it on to my mum.

The washing machine repair man came around on Monday to fit a new motherboard which did not fit but he discovered that not all the transport packaging had been removed:mad: Thankfully the engineer said that he wouldnt mention it on his report:j

Tomorrow I am off to the Learning Hub at the local hospital in the hope that I can get a job from it. I am getting mightily frustrated at being unemployed as it seems that although I apply for loads of jobs I am just not getting anywhere:(

In other news - I have my decree absolute so from 21 August I was totally divorced and now I can start my new life.

Still not been online much - too busy taking advantage of warm sunny days to dig the garden although today it is dank, cold and wet.

You may have heard me whinge about my knees clicking - it is very disconcerting to walk upstairs constantly accompanied by the sound of my knees clicking and cracking. I was eventually called to the ROH last week for some physio and they diagnosed osteo-arthritis which is all I need:( I have been given some exercises to do and I have to go back in 2 weeks for more physio. I also need to lose more weight as that will relieve the pressure on my knees. I cannot have cod liver oil tablets or even those glucosamine tablets at they are made from seafood because I am allergic to fish and seafood so I have to find some other way of getting the required sustenance for my knees.

I don't think I will have lost any weight this week as I couldnt really eat for two days in the week because I felt quite sick and was sick a couple of times. I need to lose another 1.5lbs and then I will have lost half a stone:j Then I have another stone to go before I reach the Club target weight.

I had an unwelcome visitor in the garden yesterday, for weeks my neighbours have been telling me that a fox visits my garden but I had never seen it until yesterday. I was working on my computer and looked up and out of the window and I saw what I initially thought was a large cat - on my second look I noticed the colouring, the large bushy tail, the black tipped ears and the pointy face. The wretched thing was dozing in the sunlight and all the while 4 squirrels were going bananas in my lilac tree because they didn't dare move in case they became foxy's dinner. I went outside and foxy didnt bother shifting so I armed myself with the long handled fork and advanced up the garden - foxy just sat there and looked at me so I advanced further brandishing the fork. I admit that I was rather scared because I know what foxes are like. The fox decided to get up and lope off under the mock orange bush so I tried to follow but managed to twist my knee by putting my foot in the hole that dad had blocked up with a brick (the brick being there to show me that there was a hole and that I shouldnt put my foot in it). Thankfully there is no den in my garden but I did find the wildlife motorway behind the hedge (this is an ancient blocked off path) - I discovered a large hole in the netting fence between me and my neighbour so I will be getting some chicken wire to shove in it in an attempt to keep foxy out.

Surprise surprise - I have lost another 1.5lbs but I have been told that I need to lose another 2lb before I get my half stone award. My weight is coming off slowly and I admit to feeling a bit disheartened when folks around me are losing 4 or 5lbs each week. I am wondering if it is because these folks are a lot heavier than me and I only have a small ish appetite, I just cannot eat big meals.

I am feeling a tad queasy and very nervy at the moment because I have an interview on Friday and I have to do some research and prepare a 30 minute presentation..yikes. Right now I don't feel able to apply myself to sorting it out so I think I will go and do a bit of digging and come back to it, I started the research yesterday and I am already formulating something in my head so at least I have made a start. I am already worrying about what to wear and am perturbed because I have no comfy shoes to wear - I could wear my ankle boots but they rub on my ankle bones which makes them uncomfortable (they are a bad design). I just cannot get shoes to fit these days because I have been living in sandals for nearly a whole year:(

Nothing worse than not having comfy shoes.
Hope your presentation comes together and all goes well on Friday.

I managed to wear my Healthy Feet shoes although they have a slight heel so I was tottering about today and thankfully didnt manage to fall over although my knees hurt like hell. I thought my presentation went well and the group interview as a whole went well, we had further tasks to do in the form of ringing up actual clients and then we had a paper exercise where you had to ask probing questions to get a response - I came up with a good few. There are 4 jobs in the offing but 5 of us attended the interview. I am hoping that I get it as the MD seemed to be impressed with my knowledge of waste. I should be getting an email today to say yay or nay - I will be very surprised if I don't get it.

My stuff came from cotton traders today so now I have a fabby pair of red ankle boots which fit like a dream and I have a pair of brown trouser shoes although my ankle on my left foot is rather slim so I need to get a heel grip for that shoe - the other one being ok. Both boots and the shoes are comfy. I now have a pair of jeans that fit as well as two cord skirts:j

oh grump I put on a pound but that is due to Friday when eating was all over the place and I missed lunch as I did not get home until late afternoon. Still I have made some beef stew with tons of veg which I had for dinner last night and I will be having tonight with yet more veg.

I received the news about the job today - they came up with a silly excuse but it is odd that both of us who were put forward by Remploy did not get the job and we were both given daft excuses. Needless to say Remploy are looking at it and will be speaking to the company concerned. I did brilliantly well with the presentation and with the other tasks too, I am at a real loss to be honest with you - obviously I was too good for them:rotfl:

Tomorrow I am off to a thing that the jobcentre are sending me to and I have a trip to Remploy in the afternoon. On Thursday I have to go to physio and I am hoping that they can come up with more exercises and a possible solution. My knees have been incredibly painful so much so that they keep me awake at night:(
