Would anyone like to sponsor me?
I don't mean in a finacial way but in a moral supportive way.
Let me explain. (I hope I don't bore you)
I see lots of people on here who are doing extremely well. Hats off to you! Congratulations to you but I wish it was ME!
I on the other hand seem to be going backwards, with money saving.
For example there was a thread how much accumalative debt have we paid off. On there I saw people paying off £10K+ last year. I would be lucky if I have paid off £1k. I know its not the amount you pay and everyone is different but when you have £30k of debt you just feel like, why can't I get a break!
I see lots of people making extra money here there and everywhere but am always too scared or don't have the initial outlay to do these things. eg Match betting.
I have sold anything and everything I don't need on ebay, I have cut all my outgoings to the bare minimum. Everyone now calls me a skin flint (which doesn't bother me as I know I have to do this) because I do my upmost to save every penny I can. I do overtime at work to get vouvhers to pay for christmas and treats. I do mystery shopping when I can afford it, but I still feel that my debts are going no where. I am sad here in the cold because I don't want to use gas! Its that bad.
If I did my SOA you would see I have done everything to minimise my outgoings. This was all down to you helpful guys
I have 2 cards (£2700 combined) on life of balance transfer but still have £3000 on 18.9% but no other companies will give me credit. There is light at the end of the tunnel though as I will be getting an 10 year payment endownment (approx £3000) in June which will help clear these cards.
I have 2 loans (£19k (£141pm) and £3.7k (£103pm)) both secure loans as I wanted the lower rates.
And makes things worse I need a new washing machine!! Happy Days!!!
What gets me the most is that I can't treat my partner. She has been wonderful and supportive and I do not expect her to be paying any of my debt as it was my fault in the fist place and because of this are lives are just a bore. She used to love to go shopping but now she has only been 3 times last year and I feel I am holding her back from doing things, like enjoying life. She is from abroad and she had come here to live only to be burden by me.
What I am asking for is if someone wants to personally take me under their wing and help me. I know you guys will post fanstatic replies with support but if someone would like to PM me and help me I would be indebted to you(sorry for the pun).
Sorry for the sob story but needed to get it off my chest!
Thanking you in advance!

            Okay my SOA:
 Income
 £900pm Work
£280pm Tennant (which I use to pay mortgage)
£100pm Partner for rent. (am not charging her more as if she wasn't here this would be £100 i wouldn't have)
 I pay out
 Loans:
 £141.68pm o/s £19171.75 (5.9%)
 £101.94pm o/s £3228.61 (6.9%)
 Mortgage
 £269.54 o/s £37984.61
 Other
 £38pm - Water
 £12.50pm - Gas
£0pm - Electricty (key meter payed by tennant)
£0pm - Food (Partner pays for all food, tennant buys his own)
£31pm -Telephone/broadband (need this otherwise I have nothing to do)
 £8pm - Telephone calls max
£60pm - Settee 0%, 11 months to go. Had to but new one as my back was suffering from sitting on it so much!
 £84pm - Council Tax (approx £1000p/y)
£26.38pm - Car Insurance (I have halved this from last year)
£15pm - Sky (again am not droppign this as I do not go out)
£80pm - Petrol (if take bus I add 2.5 hours a day to my travel & save £5pw)
£20pm - for food/drink at work (I don't tend to eat but just drink)
I pay home insurance, Car tax & TV licence in lump sums each year, don't want to add to the monthly out going.
 £131.50 - TV license
£145.09 - Home insurance (Only NFU can insure me as I have a ground flat)
 Car tax - £65/half year.
 CC:
American Express £50pm min (£1970 4.9%) limit £2300 but can't do anymore bt.
 Barclay Card £18pm (£680 5.4%) limit £800 can't do anymore bt.
Natwest £100pm (£3300 approx 18.9%). Am unable to obtain any need cards.
 Out goings: £1056.04
 Income: £1280.00
So that leaves me £223.96 spare. Now I do often pay more off natwest as this is my no 1 priority. I do also tend to pay extra £10 on the other cards as I then pay for the interest and it make me feel like the debt is moving.
This seems a lot and I really can't remember having that spare each month so I obviously waste more money somewhere.£20k In A Year Challenge100

            Hey Brindle
By posting on MSE you already effectively have a mass of "sponsors" - all offering advice and encouragement! And isn't it better to have loads than just the one?
Lynz is right....post your SOA and let us all see what we can do. You may think you've cut it to the bone, but you'll be amazed at what people come up with - I know I always am.
As for all those extra ways of making money......you CAN do it - it just takes a bit of effort. A group of us did a £1024 Money from Nothing Challenge late last year, starting with just £1 and people made loads.....we're starting again on Jan 5th so come and join us.
Above all, keep your chin up, because you can and will get there. I did....so have others....and with the help of MSE, so will you!0

I tried the money from nothing got to to £20 and needed the money for petrol! Its just frustrating thats all!
Plus you guys have been great and got me down to the bone already!!£20k In A Year Challenge100

LOL - yes I know it can be, but stick with it, get inventive and you'll go far. I finished on over £800!!! The next challenge will be harder as I don't have much left to sell.
Am just looking at your SOA - you don't mention running costs for the car - i.e. car tax, maintenance etc. Also, water seems high - have you considered switching to a meter? Telephone/broadband......I run a business from home and mine costs me under £20 per month.....can you not get a better deal? If you have Sky, can you not get a free broadband offer?0

I agree with freebird - by coming here you've got all the 'sponsors' you need and your progress will 'sponsor' others. :beer:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

The £20pm is for 15p coffees I haev a work and the odd pack of crisp 30p. Thats all I eat all day and then go home and eat.
Car tax is included but as of running costs my brother in law does all repais free and I only need to buy parts which are approximately £50p/year and £30p/y for MOT.
As for water. I am on a meter. I live in devon where SWW are the highest for water rates in the country. My meter was last checked 2 months ago. They tried putting it up but told them to go shove it!£20k In A Year Challenge100

            Hi again Brindle.
Just a little thought (because given my overdraft situation I really am of the mind that every little helps  ) but with regards to the food & drink, maybe you could take in a flask of coffee if you work in that sort of environment? Or if not then a jar of coffee & your own mug and get hot water from work...? ) but with regards to the food & drink, maybe you could take in a flask of coffee if you work in that sort of environment? Every 15p you save you could put in a jar and then bank it or use it for other things when it gets to a decent amount.
Or use it to buy your other half a bar of her fave choccy or a sweet little bunch of fresh flowers from the side of the road...those little treats mean the world to us ladies you know, just as much (if not more if unexpected) than a big expensive bouquet on the more 'predictable' days.
You may not be able to treat her to big fancy presents or holidays or whatever right now but little things can mean so much, I promise
With crisps, is it cheaper to buy a big multipack from Tesco and have them? Again putting the difference in the jar.
OR make a sandwich and take it in - healthier than crisps and just need a couple of slices of bread and whatever filling happens to be kicking about. (My OH likes peanut butter and marmite )Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Me again Brindle....you've got me thinking about you & your lady!
Can I just ask (and I hope you don't mind...but maybe we can help...) do you kind of get despondent and think "It's no use!" with regards to treats?
I mean, because you can't take her shopping or do costly things, does it then prevent you from doing, well, anything because you worry it is not enough?
Just wondering......Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
