I don't suppose I could be quite cheeky and ask you (and indeed anyone else who might cast an eye over it) to post a comment?
It helps drive traffic to the site and I hope to update my progress briefly on there as time goes by.
It might even encourage more people to know about MSE.com and the MFW threads.
I was pretty impressed that moneysavingexpert was actually an available tag when I set that post up.

Ok - so my plans to get to my mother's place this evening went for a burton as I completely underestimated how much stuff I had to write up from journo school.
I spent a LOVELY couple of hours with a friend and her staffy dog sounded like the talking velociraptors in Jurassic Park III with her whimpering, which made us giggle and caused her to whimper all the more!
Anyway - salary has definitely gone in - so time to break for a spot of dinner, and then back up to sort out finances and then... finally PACK!

Finally got to bed around 11:30 last night,and was up at 5:00am this morning to head to my mums.
Thought I'd lost my iPhone between walking from the car to the house, and eventually found it dropped and precariously near a drain grate.
I dropped my car keys while looking and now have lost a bit of my keyfob for the electric gates, so won't know if that still works until I get home!
And I left with a £470 bill from the tax man that my accountant said would come through PAYE but HMRC are asking for a single payment - and I actually have the money so I am not sure if that is better so as my salary stays broadly the same.

Ahhh the Christmas money dilemma - do I ... spend some on some stuff I want and save/use the rest to OP... or do I splurge on a load of DVDs etc and then be relatively happy in the knowledge I can save a lot next year having bought what I want on my wish list!
Always bearing in mind that they will be bought ONLINE, using a cash back site AND a loyalty CC that will give me points to get a voucher to be able to buy them more cheaply.
This actually kept me up last night - trying to figure out if I was better putting it towards the netbook I bought ... although I had squirrelled away the money to actually pay that off in full in this month's bill.
You know what - it was a Christmas gift by mum to go buy what I want (as she's long since given up trying to guess what I might like!)...
