Having tried several times before and failed miserably to set a realistic budget I was wondering if some of you could post what amount or % you have in each category...
I know it'll be different for everyone according to lifestyle choice but I'm trying to figure out where I go wrong!
Thanks

Our budget for a week is:
£75 for food etc. (family of 6 including 2 teenagers)
£20 each 'pocket money' for me and OH
£5 each pocket money for 2 older kids (they need to do some jobs around the house to get this)
£50 for fuel (2 cars and I have an 85 mile round trip to work 4 days a week)
Total = £175
Problem is that recently we have been overspending a bit - will need to make a big effort to get back on track!!!!0 -

£150 a week after bills; breaks down as £50 food, £20 petrol, £80 everything else. It seems loads looking at other peoples budgets but we arent in debt so its more of a maintenance budget rather than a reduction budget IYSWIM:A:A:A:A:A:A0
