Free Tesco's Shopping?

I apologise if this is in the wrong place but i really didnt know where to put it.
I done about £60 worth of shopping at Tescos on Wednesday and still the money is not showing as gone from my bank account.
I paid for it at the self service till ( thought this wold be the quicker option as it was packed in there) on my debit card. I bank with A&L online and keep checking but its not gone out or showing. Sometimes theres a difference between available balance and total balance if something is due to come out but thats the same.
The other odd thing about that shop was that it wasnt charging me for everything i was putting through, which was even more confusing. For example items which i had more than one of i would scan then put it on the belt as it says to do so. I would then scan the next duplicate item and it wouldnt scan but instead say to put it on the belt. Obviously i kept trying to scan it numerous times (didnt want to pinch it) and it wouldnt work so what with the queue behind me and how busy it was i put it on the belt then it was ok again.
This happened with about 4 items (not valuable stuff just large choccy bars) so when i had finished and paid, i went over to a Tesco lady worker and said "Look, im going to be honest here, ive not paid for some of my items". I explained about the multiple items and it not letting me scan etc and she said but you have to scan each one so i said yes i know, i tried. She went off to help someone fix another self service till that had gone wrong and didnt seem to be doing anything. So i waited a bit but then went over and said what should i do about my stuff then? She turned and said "Lets just say thanks for being honest and merry xmas to you". :T
I have to say i was quite suprised really that she left it at that and didnt look into it.
So do you think something strange may have been going on that day and i will not be getting charged for anything at all?

Firstly....jaxxy00 wrote:(not valuable stuff just large choccy bars)
large choccy bars are extremely valuable!!! :rotfl:
Sounds like something was up with it, could be there's a delay with taking payment from all the cards as it's the busy xmas period, but good luck to you with it otherwise, and well done for owning up to it not scanning properly, i'd have just continued and then felt Reeeeaaaally guilty. well, till i scoffed the chocs
