Cheapest 'Just Married' decorations, balloons etc?

My sister's getting married in 25 days, and as chief bridesmaid I'm meant to be decorating their house for when they arrive home (they don't go on honeymoon until the following day, so have decided to spend the wedding night at home).
I'm thinking some nice balloons, maybe a banner and some silk rose petals for the bed in teal (their colour scheme colour). Don't want anything too tacky, but need to make their normal bedroom a bit special!
Can anyone advise the cheapest place to get these, or add any suggestions?
I'm also going to do a little hamper for the room with croissants for the morning, hopefully personalised Mr & Mrs mugs with hot chocolate sachets, some bottles of water and a book of Love quotes I picked up in The Works.... should I add anything else?
Thanks!

I think thats a lovely idea.... i hope somebody does the same for us, i love the hamper!
might have to drop some hints! lol
we bought all our baloons from ebay, they were cheaper than the shops... but im guessing you mean helium baloons? ive seen these on offer at places like asda and tesco before, maybe you could look there?
they also sell the baloons at places like the range but you might need to beware of this as some shops that sell them wont fill baloons you have bought somewhere else,
do you have a party shop nearby? that sell and fill? it might be cheaper than you think
i might put some little jams in the hamper?0 -
Champagne, Bubble Bath, maybe smelly candles for the bedroom???? you could also train rose petals from the door to the bedroom??? Maybe a really nice throw for the bed?
Then , have a lovely basket of croissants, bacon, bread and orange juice and lots of yummy things to munch on for breakfast.
Just some random ideas!0 -
My sister's told me where all their candles are in the house so I can use them! She's also said they won't be wanting anymore alcohol or a bubble bath as they have to be up early to get to the airport, which is why I was thinking croissants & hot chocolate instead of stuff for a cooked breakfast.
Any decorations I get will have to travel 200 miles with me in the car (along with OH, dog & dress!) so can't be pre-inflated helium balloons, which I hadn't thought of. Can you buy small helium cannisters to do them yourself?0 -
Oooh, just found this kit on ebay which doesn't require helium and looks pretty impressive

I got a banner free from vistaprint, and you can get mugs free too. (I got mother of the bride's tea and mother of the groom's tea for at the reception as that's all they drink!)
On the banner I just basically put on it, Just Married, our names, and the date.

Fantastic, thanks! Should I just design something then save it and not buy until they send me a code? Think I've read that tip somewhere on here...0 -
How can you get more than just one sample free please?0

yes you can buy small canisters of helium (complete with balloons but these are just standard colours, not wedding specific). I got mine from Asda - paid £22, but that was nearly 3 years ago so they may have gone up a bit in price since then.
