Hi. Please don't flame me, I have spent the last 40 minutes searching for my answer, but to no avail!!
Can anyone point me to the thread or answer something. I remember someone saying about the prices of Curry's products mean that they are either current, end of line or discontinued, and it's possible to get a good deal on them.
ie £59.99 is current, £59.98 is something, and £59.97 is something else.
Something I'm looking at buying, a hi-fi for my dad, is £59.98. What does this mean? Any bargain to be had?

I believe thats what Comet do. I believe you are barter with them for a lower price. Not sure on the codes.
You can take extended warrenty if they drop price, then cancel the extended warrenty within a period0 -
They usually offer a certain discount at 98 then even more when it gets to 97 to get rid quickly0

I used to work for currys - they are discontinued lines so are limited stock.
98p is recently discontinued, They willl often have boxed stock of the item you want. 97p is for very old stock and is worthwhile asking for further discounts normally these will be display items.
hope this helps0
