A lot of this report doesn't even make sense and it's very hard to follow. This is the entry for my mortgage which was sold to a different company, but this company doesn't appear anywhere on this file. It did on my experian one though, which has now been cleaned up.

supplementary flag - Debt Assigned
Anyone know what this means?
It's really awkward that it doesn't show account numbers or anything too. I have another entry to sort out but I have no reference at all for the account. Can't even remember where I was living when I had it.

im not certain, but i can certainly take an educated guess.
your mortgage company reported to Equifax that in September 2010 the account defaulted with a balance of £88596 and passed to the other company. so thats basically showing the balance when they ended their dealings of the account. The other company may not appear on all credit reference agencies. and the debt assigned bit could just mean it's been assigned to a separate company.
unsure if anyone can back me up or clarify it all for me?0 -

I would like to know this as I have just got my credit reports, but it looks like Equifax have changed their method of reports from the example given in the clean up sticky thread.:pB&SC No. 298

I'm guesing if they have changed the way they show information then that should be explained in the bumph they send out with the paper reports. I assume you've checked that Dojo? When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Equifax salted me compared to Experian... Not all credit providers use Equifax.
Just so you know...)

I did mean Slated - but Salted could work!0

Hasn't anyone got any idea on this then? Looks like Equifax are confusing a lot more people than just me. The format of the report is completely different to how it's shown in the clean-up sticky. I'll try emailing them and report back if I get a useful answer.0
