It was all going so well, had my monthly budget worked out, was keeping a note of my spending etc, and then in a few days it's started going pear-shaped.
I was moving last weekend, and with the agents fees on top & having to pay the first months rent before I got paid I went whacking up to the top of my overdraft again
Then work have messed up my expenses (which was supposed to be going onto the CC) STILL haven't got them even though I put in the claim form on 1st November!!! This is £65 that I've been charged another months interest on
All the little bits that I've had to get for the flat cos they got lost/damaged in the move (like a tin opener!) is all adding up... I really want to throw a chunk at my debt this month, but it looks like I'm only going to manage the minimum on my CC because I want to get back on target with the O/D.
Although the snowball said 2008 to clear my debts, in my mind I wanted it clear by this time next year - need some serious motivation I think otherwise I'll end up splurging at the supermarket tonight!
Sorry for the 'poor me's' - just feeling a bit low...

awww Storm sorry you are having a bad week. At least you know exactly where you are with money and it just means a minimum payment for this month then you can get back into debt busting mode next month. Sorry to hear about your expenses - I am useless at claiming mine on time and then have to wait for another pay run. Which reminds me I must get mine in for next friday or I wont get any money till January
and heres a great big DFW (((((((HUG))))))) to keep you going:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Storm, the difference between this 'blip' and previous ones, is that you have recognised the pattern before it gets too established.
Draw a line under the money spent so far, and start again.
What's gone is gone and don't try too hard to catch up and get back to where you were, or it just becomes too difficult, and you will fall off the wagon.
Remember, tomorrow is a new day.
Good luck :TOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
I know how you feel Storm. This month we have had to spend £900 approx on a card we had just cleared! I'm really fed up about it.
OH needed new glasses (hadn't changed them for approx 3 years and could hardly see!) that was £380 (high index lenses as such bad eyesight, etc), road tax due so another £170, and christmas prezzies to buy.
I know all these things could be budgeted for but we have been chucking all our spare cash at our debts and the new glasses weren't really anticipated and the road tax was overlooked.
But, we must soldier on. We are less in debt than at this time last year so I am going to try and focus on that, (but it's hard as I feel pretty low at having to spend all that money).
Hope you can get back on track Storm, as I will try to do.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
