MP on £65k Bleats He Can't Get on the Ladder

Really? On £65k he can't afford a house in his constituency? Let's do some sums.... let's say 3.5x wages, so that'd be £227,500. And let's say this getting on the ladder lark HAS to be 3 beds and a house with parking.... we'll also assume that anything costing less than £180k just isn't good enough for him. Searching from £180k to £250k (assuming he'd be putting a deposit down of about £25k) I find nearly 1000 in the area.

Some are really nice/in good areas too.

I wanted to pick some lovely ones at random, but was over-whelmed by the staggering choice, location, features... but here was just one at the top of his FTB budget:

5 beds, £250k, huge garden, loads of parking, old Coach House. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31264442.html

If you want to look, his consituency stretches from St Austell on the south coast to Newquay on the north coast - and he currently lives in St Austell and would wish to stay there I presume. http://www.piratefm.co.uk/news/review.php?article=405934

He's probably one of the chaps who posts on here with serious entitlement issues.

Read a Peanuts strip last night that made me chuckle and think of this place:

Lucy: I never get what I want for my birthday
Linus: What do you really want?

He can buy a nice house for that budget in St. Austell. Looks as if he thinks he deserves something better.

BTW - I love Pirate FM (or as it's called in our car when visiting - Pasty FM). It's one of the best local stations in the UK.

I listen to that as well. Is it still Pam Spriggs? Of the most unintentionally funny radio presenters I've come across.

Yes, but during the day, in the background there are some right dim-sounding women whittering on.
