Confusing title I know but...
I am on a grad management scheme so I move around alot with work. Consequently I can't have my own place. I am a very good cook, but never manage to do anything.
I rent a room at the moment from the most untidy, dirty and alround unpleasent man you could imagine. His kitchen reflects this.
At the moment I go out and grab something from Tesco for dinner- hardly MSE.
Anyone got any tips? Eating well, keeping out of the disgusting kitchen and saving some dosh?
Help!!

How about a wee slow cooker? You could use that in your room, only needing to use the kitchen to wash the crock pot :-)Feeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

A slow cooker is an idea....How long does it take to cook though? I work 7-6 and spend usually an hour or two most nights playing tennis/at the gym....Hence convenience food :-sWise man once say "When in hole, don't dig"0

I love your avatar

(...oh no... we can't possibly do that! Who'd clean up the mess?)
I have a simple electric steamer, which is great - I cook all my veg in it, but I lived on steamed food when I was a student as it's so quick. You can do potataoes/rice/eggs/veg really easily. What sort of food do you like eating?:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
No chance you could change your digs? I used to travel a lot for work and I had the same issues as you almost identically and I ate at Tesco a lot. I also bought a lot of cold foods that I could use to make meals as well as things like couscous that could be made up in a bowl with just boiling water.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Cheers for the ideas guys.
I'm actually moving in a few weeks thankfully for 6 wonderful months in Doncaster. Woo!
Couscous could be an idea actually.
Celyn- I cook absolutely everything, but only when I'm at home so I have a full range of ingrediants. When I'm not I just cook steak, burgers etc (I work for a beef company). Mr Flibble says..."game over boys" :-pWise man once say "When in hole, don't dig"0
