also have 3 defaults on my account, which were actually declared in my bankrupcy.
If i got these changed to settled would it make a difference with my credit?
its with T mobile Bank of scotland and lloyds tsb ! (!!!!!!!s)
get them in the green then will i be more likely to get a mortgage ?
and are these cards with credit rebuilders built in useful?

With the defaults all you can really do is see if the dates are incorrect and if they are you can insist the lender ammends as needs be

A mortgage along with credit will be very very very difficult while the bankruptcy sits on your credit files for 6yrs...mortgages can be obtained a couple of years after bankruptcy but you'll need a pretty hefty deposit before anyone will entertain you..
credit builder card? not making that much of a difference to be honest...click the link above see if your files are as they should be then look at a sim only mobile contract, home shopping these are a couple of things that help a little along with vanquis or capital one credit cards but beware of the APR if you did get one of these..pay it off in full every monthWe all die. The default dates are actually before my bankrupcy for some reason is this better than having them say settled?
Does the bankrupcy stay on for 6 years from discharge or from the judgment?0 -
If you stopped paying your debts in order to save up BR fees or moving costs then yes, the default dates will be before your BR date.
Unless they are shown settled/satisfied then they may not drop off your file ever. Follow the clean up thread at the top of the board and get them sorted.
It's 6 years from your BR date. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
