Personally I would hold off,at least until 00.01hrs.From the terms:

The competition will run on https://www.thesun.co.uk from 28 March 2011 to 1 April 2011 (the "Promotion Period").

Closing time for entries is 23.59 each day during the Promotion Period.

Entry limited to one per person per day during the Promotion Period.

There is one prize each day during the Promotion Period. The winner will be drawn at random from all correct entries received before the closing time each day. The winner will be contacted by the telephone number provided at the point of entry. If the winner cannot be contacted by 11am on the next day, NGN reserves the right to re-draw the winner from the correct entries which were received before the closing time. All reasonable endeavours will be made to contact the winner during this time.

The prize is a white 16GB iPad 2 with Wi-Fi (not including 3G connectivity or service) and will be provided by Warner Bros Entertainment within 90 days of the end of the Promotion Period. Warner Bros shall contact the winner(s) to confirm delivery details. Each winner will also receive one year's free subscription to The Sun's iPad app. The app will last 12 months from receipt of the iPad.

I think this applies to day 2. Last time they ran this, the winner was posted on their website at noon the next day as draw ends at midnight.

Up to each of us in the end.I just read as commencing after midnight tonight.
