My Nan took a turn for the worse and I am not going on holiday when she is in suck a bad way. Looks as though she may just have a few days to live, which is awful to think about. So this weekend will be staying with my family and seeing my Nan before I lose her. Words cannot describe how I feel today.

Last night was a nightmare and I also had an incident last night when OH had made a stupid joke to my DD that has got out of hand and has ended up with her telling her Dad, which then has meant that he has texted me to tell me. My OH tried to speak to DD's Dad but he refused to answer phone or speak to him when DD'd dad dropped kids off. He just said no to my OH and drove off.
OH is in pieces over it and I am upset with it. The comment he made was wrong and it comes from his inexperience with young kids, and the fact that he is a joker.
Only thing is that my kids know it was a joke and was not meant to be anything other. I have spoken to them and sorted it out. Sometimes wish my OH thinks before he opens his mouth.

    Hello everyone,

Not been on for ages because of being so busy.

My Nan died on Sunday morning so things are not good atm. I haven't seen her yet because as soon as I left to return home on Sunday morning she died within half an hour and by the time I had returned back up (100 mile trip), she had been moved by the undertaker. Going to see her next Wednesday and her funeral is next Thursday.

With all of this happening I have decided that I will move back to my parents home town with my kids. My parents are thrilled but ex-OH will not be happy about having to travel to see his kids. There will be lots of problems over this but my parents need me. So currently I am applying for teaching jobs up north.

My spending has gone ridiculous this week with OH's birthday tomorrow and with being in Yorkshire. Going to have to move money around to cover everything required.

Decided to still go on holiday on Saturday but will return earlier. My dad was adamant about still going.

Hope everyone has a nice day in the sun.

Well here's a better future. The plan as for now is to reduce my debt and be much happier.

My holiday was shorter than planned so I managed to come back off holiday with £200, so that is my food budget for the month. That meant that I paid off £400 at the weekend off my credit card balance, and I am going to pay off another £300 next week.

I am determined to reduce my debts as much as possible atm.

Hi everyone, hope you are all ok.

I am making some headway with the aim to clear £7k of debt and cannot wait until next year when hopefully I am debt free.

The weekend was fun and we were treated by OH to bowling and for a meal out on saturday. Kids loved the bowling and OH was beaten by my son which he will not live down lol. We then watched a family video (Muppets Treasure Island) in the evening with popcorn and nuts.
Kids then went to their Dad's on Sunday, and me and OH spent the day tidying our bedroom and cleaning all the dust and rubbish that seems to accumulate. Sunday evening was spent at my local pub treated to by OH for the weekly pub quiz which our team won, so means free drinks next week. Our team won last week when we were absent and won drinks vouchers which they kindly shared with us, so we had 2 free drinks.
Also we had a free tea at the pub, as food is provided at half time, and we had eaten a late dinner so had not felt like tea yesterday.

Today I am back for another week at work and am panicking about my students getting their work done on time. The summer is getting closer and closer. Gulp.

    Thanks mrs motivated.

A quiet day at work today. The thunder and lightening last night was spectacular but my house walls were shaking a little. Glad that my DS and DD were fast asleep otherwise I would have had to share my bed lol.
My meal planning has gone out of the window this week. I was meant to be making cheese and bean pie last night but we had sausage and mash instead. Tonight I am meant to be making a HM quiche and throwing together a salad, but I have not made the quiche, so might be tuna pasta bake tonight.
I have managed to pay a large amount of debt off over the past two months and am hoping to pay a lot more off by the end of the summer, though I am planning on going on holiday with my brother so will have to earn extra money to pay for it via Ebay and surveys.

I am bored of saving money atm. Wish I could just plan to pay it off by December this year. But my planning suggests it will be paid off by April next year apart from the car loan.
I have cut back so much that I will have paid off £1k off my credit cards this month.

At least it is nearly the weekend.

Morning all. Not been on for ages mainly because of another busy weekend. OH became an Uncle over the weekend, so very excited about the new baby girl in the family.
On the bad side I have worked out that my repayments on my credit card have been overestimated and I have left myself short of cash until the 31st May. I have had loads of things come out of my bank account and have gone over by £50. Going to have to Ebay this week to raise a bit of money.
I also finally gave into 3 and upgraded my phone account with. Took 8 phone calls from them, and after telling them no i am fine with my phone package they finally offered me something better. New smartphone and unlimited text messages, 500 calls per month, 1gb internet allowance for same price as what I pay now. Was on 1100 mins and texts a month before, so is slightly better.

Meal planning has gone out of the window this week as I did not plan anything, but is going well as I am kicking my butt into gear and making meals the night before and using my slow cooker to make delicious food. Chicken curry last night, spaghetti meatballs tonight. Not sure what to make tomorrow but may involve using the chicken stock I made on Sunday. Any ideas people?

    Morning.

Trying to be positive today but not working. Terrible period pains today, think my body is going mad because I was on antibiotics last week. OH is unhappy with his summer job (he has finished Uni until Sept) as he is working with computers and nothing is going right and he does not like the long hours. He is looking for something else and making do in the meantime.
As per yesterday we had meatballs for tea cooked in the slow cooker all day yesterday, so yummy. We now have sausage casserole for tea tonight.

Morning all. Trying to work with my finances is impossible. I am going to try to move money around to make use of HSBC's 6 month balance transfer offer onto my current credit card with them. I have moved £500 into my account and am currently deciding whether to move some more. Though I am not paying interest until next month with Tesco. Is it worth the hassle?

My divorce is still not completed and I had a letter through yesterday saying that the court agreed a date to discuss finances in August. This is ages away and I am bit annoyed that the court have had this since beginning of April. I am going to put in a complaint about the court messing me around. 2 years since I left my ex-OH and looks like it may go on forever. I have to fill in the financial document which is pages long and will mean looking through my accounts and proving what assets and debts I have (great). Only asset I have is my car and a mountain of debt.
I am so sick of being in debt, why was I an idiot with money. My debt stands at £10650.03 at the moment and will drop significantly by the end of the year as long as meet my target of reducing my debt by £7k. I am on target to achieve that as well.

Anyone reading my diary that is thinking about reducing debt but has not started to do so, do it now rather than later. I have a good wage but half of it is now going on paying my debt off. If I had been careful with money last year then I would be pretty well off now, instead of paying £900 in debt each month. Gulp!
