I have never been able to get a haircut for £10 but understand I may only claim this amount. I am doing a degree and financing this myself; I hope they won't make me stop this.
thank you all.

i would put your car maintenance up to £40, you never know what expenses crop up for repairs. i have no idea about your degree funding.
nothing else jumps out at me but i'm sure others will comment x0 -
Would they assume that you apply for your maintenance and tuition fee loan and assume that you have this money available to you? I know for benefit calculations they assume that you apply for what you are entitled to get.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have no tuition fee loan - I pay each month out of my salary.0

Mobile £35
Landline £30
Holidays £50
I'd expect the OR to cut this back
£100 a month for oil seems very high?
£280 for fuel for the car seem massive
the fact that you want to spend £10 a month on a hair cut but never been able to get one that cheap seems high and a luxury to be honest, this is Bankruptcy, not a dump my bills and have an easier life.
Maybe things have changed, and good luck if you can get away with it, but I'd expect the OR to cut loads off thisOpinions are like bottoms - We all have one, just some stink more than others

I am here looking for advice and guidance - you know nothing about my circumstances so maybe should not be so judgemental. And yes, my oil is £100 a month and yes, my petrol is £280 (at least) a month.
I shall continue to manage without looking here for support.0 -

Take no notice of the judgemental posters, who have posted on your thread, this forum is supposed to be non judgemental, unfortunately anyone can post on here and sometimes do. Most of the posters on here will not judge you and you will get good advice.:pB&SC No. 298

Hi
Just to say I got £300 a month for my petrol. The OR said it was ok because I thats what I use. Good luck.0 -

I've been Bankrupt sadly and I am trying to point out what the OR will likely say when he looks at your SOA. It's not Judgemental, it's realistic. I know that he will be rolling on the floor at you wanting £600 a year for holidays.....
He will ask why you spend so much on fuel for a car and why your oil is so expensive in a rented house. Not having a go, but you need to take things on board as HE WILL NOT allow this unless there is a real need!Opinions are like bottoms - We all have one, just some stink more than others

thankyou Dojoman - they have reduced me to tears but your post has made me feel better.0

Magicred, I don't see that my post should have upset you, but if it did, I'm sorry, that was not the intention, but you asked what people thought of your figures and that is what I've done, as I said, I went through this over 6 years ago and come through it, going to the Court and filing BR was easy, the OR is the one that decides what you are allowed, and I was only pointing out where I think straight away he will try and make savings, if you can justify it to him then you will be OK, but you will need to justify it.
Good luck and try not to take offence, hard i know as this is a very emotional timeOpinions are like bottoms - We all have one, just some stink more than others
