Hi all,
This is more of a time saving q rather than money saving!
How long would it be ok to keep fresh peeled potato's in water?
I hate peeling potato's every night, and would like to peel a load at a time and keep a few days worth in water.
Any ideas?

A banker is someone who lends you an umbrella when the sun is shining, and who asks for it back when it start to rain.

At school we were told to place a slice of brown bread on the top of the bowl of peeled potatoes to stop them changing colour when exposed to the air or something - not sure how long that works for though.

Peel 2 days at a time. I don't think they would keep more than overnight.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

I get RSI pain if I peel too many! That't my excuse anyway.

How about you boil them and keep them in the fridge.:wall:0 -

i used to work in a hotel kitchen and used a rumbler which took the skin off we did bags at a time and stored them in a bucket covered with water in a walk in fridge, they lasted like this for 3-4 days. if the water went a funny colour we changed it for fresh.- jan GC £200
