Don Mario Peeled Plum Tomatoes in Tomato Juice.
Got two tins from my local Asda's, Swindon North. Saw lots of stock at the end of one of the aisles; prominent location.
Didn't see it online.
Hang on a bit, photo coming up soon...

Thanks op.
Called in last night on the way home from the cinema, about 10pm, to see if I could find some.
Nothing to be seen on any of the "special" end of aisle displays and NONE  on the canned veg & tinned tomatoes section.
NOT even a SEL for them or an empty space where they might have been

Then I found a SOLITARY CAN
amongst some KTC branded ones - at least that meant they were a stocked item at my store.
If I could just find some more !!!! 1 can was hardly going to be a "grocery investment/saving" for the future :rotfl:
Intensifying my search I found a 2nd in another tray of KTC, a 3rd and then a 4th amongst cans of Chick Peas !!!!
Time to get SERIOUS
Where is a shelf stacker when you need one
Found one - YES they do have them - in the middle of an aisle 2 or 3 away from where all the others are.
FOUND THEM :j :j :j
OH NO !!! THE SEL !!! 56p EACH or 3 for £1
Time to take a can to a till
BINGO :j 15p :j
Decided to INCREASE my STOCK INVESTMENT for some LONG TERM SAVINGS
51 CANS seemed a good starting point
:j :rotfl:
Thanks again

Wow, great perseverance. I'm glad it helped you!
So it seems that not all Asda's have it clearly labelled, or even labelled at all!
At my local Asda, it was so prominent you would be blind to miss it. Right in the middle of those huge long corridors that are typical of Asda, and a huge 15p sign at the top of all the literally crates of tinned tomatoes. And for good measure, just in case you missed them, they had it on the other end of the store too, with another huge 15p sign.
Yet it seems that at some other Asda's, they'd rather keep it a complete secret, and their SEL prices are wrong too. It requires true hunter-gatherer instincts and perseverance to hunt them down, have the courage to bring it to the till, then go back for more.
Well done quoia. And thanks for sharing your experience.
Quick question: is the expiry date also Dec 2011 for your purchases?0 -

Sure was - not that that would stop me using them months or even years after any BB date

I bought some of these not long ago when they were doing four tins for 50p (I think ...) They're not the best tinned tomatoes I've ever used, as they're quite hard and they juice is watery, but they're ok for cooking with. OH won't eat them with his breakfast though lol.0
