HELP it isn't me
Hi all
I have started to recieve mail from a company called AIC located in Glasgow
they say i owe royal bank of scotland over £3000 pounds and that the person is on the eletoral roll at my address.as the person has the same name has me the bit i dont understand is i have never had an account with RBoS
I have phoned the local branch and they said i would not get anymore mail but it still keeps coming ...........what can i do .....i am not worried to much about the letters but if they blacklist me has i have never had an account and any signitures would be different from mine if u need anymore info please ask .......

There are two possibilities.
1. Its a mistake. IE you have the same name so they are chasing you. Phone them up and cheque the middle name(s) match and that the date of birth matches. If they do match it is option 2. If they don't, point out they have contacted you in error and it is clearly not you.
2. Fraud. Immediately you think its fraud you should contact the police and tell them so. Give all the details and get a crime ref number. Then phone RBS and say you have reported it as fraud and give the crime ref number. This should remove any liability you have whilst it is being investigated.

Thanx for the reply as u stated the DOB is incorrect and RBS say they know this but the letters keep comming i will wait and see if i receive anymore
