Feb Half Term Bargain

Have just been told by a friend about a fab deal for Pontins Feb Half Term that was in the People this Sunday for anyone looking to get away last minute. Anyway, just called now to book and got myself a bargain break to North Wales for a grand total of £39, that's for me significant other and the two kids. Just have to find some someone to look after the dog now!!

oh, its for 4 nights on Monday if anyones interested, i think other parks are available too x :j

Apparently pontins have gone bankrupt but are still allowed to trade in hope that someone wants to take over... this is probably just so they fill a few spaces. My experience of pontins (have only been to southport but have heard bad reports about others too) is pretty dire i have to say but if you are using it as a base then its "good enough" Just take your own bedding and plenty of cleaning stuff.

Thanks for the advice, we will do. I thought they had gone bankrupt too but my friend advised they had been bought, I checked this before i booked and they advised they had been bought by Britannia Hotels, also checked online and its true. Yes we are just using as base, lots of fab places to go in North wales and hopefully????? the weather will be ok but taking our raincoats and wellies just in case!!!!

Ah i didnt know that... they ought to re brand as pontins has such a bad name for itself now. Maybe we might be seeing pontins improve soon then! Yeah you will have a wonderful time, atleast the appartments at pontins are warm and dry and not a tent which is about the only other option to go away for as cheap as that! And you are right... you will barely be in the appartment as theres soooo much to do in north wales

Lets hope so!! For £39 for all four of us it was too good a bargain to turn down, and we desperately need a cheap getaway after a pretty rubbish start to the year so as long as the kids are happy it will give me and the other half the break we need!!

Sorry to bump the post again I was watching louis spenses showbusiness on sky last night and it had David van day and Eoughan quigg at a pontins performing. I know they are not exactly A list but they are quite famous. I also remember the owner saying he would sign David up for the season The Pontins in question looked quite nice in the club in the reception etc. I know they have bad reviews in the past and have gone bankrupt, but maybe they have started to do them up. Hence the great deals to get people going again.

I read somewhere that britannia (new owners) were updatin all the parks, gettin away from the tackiness that had started to stick, wanted people to choose them instead of butlins etc but were keepin the bluecoats!! Hope you enjoy your break x
