getting a code specifically for MSE's

hi all

do you know if companies would/have given discounts that are specific to money saving expert readers? there are a few websites i really like but find really exspensive! i was thinking of emailing and asking them for a discount in return for them being featured on the forums or somthing to that effect? would this work , has it been done before ?

Hmmm. I'm not sure but I think that MSE are a not-for-profit type website, meaning that they don't agree to 'feature' websires in exchange for anything. To be honest, if companies have any brains they would issue MSE with codes out of the goodness of their heart with the knowledge that by doing so they will be mentioned somewhere along the line in order to tell consumers that the code is available.

Lol....I think Martin might think you're overstepping the mark with his forums somewhat.

oh i don't want to step on anyones toes or break any rules...just trying to save money lol

would it be as simple as asking for a discount and say i would post about it on this forum ? probs not that easy i suspect
