Morrisons' beansprouts

Saw these in Morrisons - they had a sticker on saying 'Do Not Eat Raw' why? While we're making stir-fry we always pick on a few. What do Morrisons do to the beansprouts that means you can't eat them before cooking?

They were linked to lots of cases of Salmonella.0 -
Any idea if the advice is for just supermarket beansprouts or the ones you sprout yourself too? Was going to try sprouting some beans, but not sure now if there's a risk of salmonella! :eek:0

I wonder if it's the actual beansprouts or the sweaty water from being sealed in plastic in virtually sub zero temps in their fridges, as soon as they're in the trolley the temperature rises, there's nearly always condensation in the bag when I unpack them at home.
I think that I'll take my chances, I don't think that I fancy them being simmered for several minutes, especially for a salad.0
