Free Times Plus 3 month trial for three customers

Options
Three have sent text messages to their customers offering a 3 month free trial of Times Plus. However, the site asks for Direct Debit or Credit Card information and doesn't confirm that the first 3 months are free.

Has anyone tried this and if so does it work and is it easy to cancel to not get charged?

offer available only to 3 mobile broadband customers, be careful though if you are payg customer, have to top up £10 min. every month or you will be charged. and don't forget to cancel at the end!

Three months free access to The Times websites.
Join Three Mobile Broadband between 1 November 2010 and 31 March 2011 and get three months free access to thetimes.co.uk, thesundaytimes.co.uk, The Times iPad Edition and membership of Times+. If you have a Pay As You Go account, you can carry on getting free access after three months to thetimes.co.uk, thesundaytimes.co.uk and membership of Times+ by topping up a minimum of £10 every 30 days with a Pay Per Month top-up.

Here's how it works.
1. Join Three Mobile Broadband between 1 November 2010 and 31 March 2011 either on Pay as you Go or by signing up to one of our Pay Monthly plans.
2. From November 15 you'll receive an access code from us, either as a message to your Three Mobile Broadband dashboard or an email, if you have given us an email address.
3. Click on the link in the message to go to timesplus.co.uk/access. Enter your access code and register to activate your three months free access to The Times and The Sunday Times websites, The Times iPad Edition and membership to Times+.
After three months:
• If you're on Pay as you Go and top-up a minimum of £10 every 30 days with a Pay Per Month top-up, you will continue to get free access to The Times and The Sunday Times websites and membership to Times+. If you use a 3G Micro-SIM with an iPad you will no longer be able to access The Times iPad Edition for free. If you don't top-up you will be charged £8.66 a month unless you cancel your Times+ membership.
• If you have a Pay Monthly price plan, you will be charged £8.66 a month after your three free months, unless you cancel your Times+ membership.

nope and on this page
http://www.three.co.uk/Help_Support/Terms_and_Conditions?content_aid=1220465097979

it further states that:
3. The offer consists of three months’ free access to the Websites as well as membership of Times+ (excluding gift rewards).

gift rewards = free previews? Either way, I don't think it's worth a try unless you are a 3 monthly mobile broadband customer. Even that don't forget to cancel no less than 6 business days before the end of the trial!

How do I cancel my subscription to thetimes.co.uk and thesundaytimes.co.uk?
You can cancel your subscription at any time by emailing
help@timesplus.co.uk. although you will be charged for the next month if your cancellation request is sent less than six business days prior to the due date of payment of that monthly subscription or registration payment.
