Morning Dolly
Thought i would pop by and say hii hope your tooth is feeling better now?? I don't like the dentist either!
I tried those sausage rolls (with the caramalised onions too as had a jar from christmas) and they were yummy!! However they looked nothing like sausage rollsi don't think i used enough pastry as they opened up! tasted yummy though lol and the kids loved them
I'm spending my weekend listing on ebay as it's free again, boring but needs must and all that!
I went to Matalan the other day and got some real bargains in there, i rarely go but when i do they usually have good stuff in the clearance sections
Well done on not buying the boots, I also have not quite cracked the old spending habits yet (you should see all the stuff i have bought in my diary) BUT i am going to try again next month! I find taking cash out for everything on my budget much easier, i did this last month and it worked, this month however i thought i would revert back to the debit card as just easier and safer than having lots of cash around but it hasn't worked
i've failed miserably! SO back to cash in envelopes for me next month!

Hi Dolly,
Nice to hear from you. I found my pattern of logging on to MSE changed once I'd got underway with debt-busting too. When I first discovered the site I spent hours and hours on it browsing threads, reading articles, just sucking up information, ideas and tips. I now visit the site just once a day and check out my favourite 4 boards - helps to keep me on the straight and narrow! Still plugging away at savings now though - my first overtime payment should come in with my March salary - straight to a nice, warm, dry ISA for it! (God, how I've changed!)
Sorry to hear about the tooth. Life can be a bummer like that! But at least it's not the financial disaster it once would have been.
Had a hell of a week myself. Our department at work was 4 down which is unheard of - so spent the entire week running around like the proverbial blue-bottomed fly - ex-husband is being a bit of a pain in the behind - hot water system is playing up - and not been sleeping well. Anyway, I managed to sleep 9hrs last night, so feeling a bit more human now. The "sickies" should be back at work next week too which takes the pressure back off. On the plus side both of my daughters won trophies at our local music festival so that was lovely.
Managing to cut myself loose a little from the old neccesary MSE ways. I decided to up my weekly spend budget to include treats (just a little, mind!) - but as we now know, a little can go a long way.
Anyway off to have as chilling weekend as is humanly possible with 2 teenage girls in the house! and hopefully watch Scotland avoid the wooden spoon in the 6 Nations rugby.
Have a good weekend Dolly and all,

Enclosed a £10.00 cheque, and they wrote back saying as the account is closed, they don't have to give me any information!!! Mind you they cashed the cheque.:mad::mad:
Undeterred as I am, now off to the PPI reclaim thread to see what my next steps are. It just highlights how they treat people.

Keep at it with the claim you have nothing to lose but they clearly have hence their letter.

Thanks all for the posts (BIB, HWG and DFW321).
Have had some good responses on the PPI reclaim thread suggesting I speak to the Information Commissioners office regarding the Egg claim. Bloody robbing b*******:mad: So will do this on Monday and see how it goes.
I am expecting to hear this week from Lloyds regarding two PPI reclaims this week as the 40 day limit is up. So fingers crossed.
Busy day today again, as need to list some items on ebay (I didn't do it last week) ended up having supper with friends and wine kicked in which meant i was a write off. So a little more focus today. I feel a little guilty as bought a couple of things from Charity shops, good brands like Boden and Wrap, very cheaply and am going to list on ebay as these things always sell quite well. But feel its a bit wrong as likely to make more than i paid for it.
Another slight blip, checked my online account today to find that my first payment to my new credit card had not gone through. This is 0% interest, when i took this out i set it up as a direct debit so a bit alarmed that it had not gone through. So off now to ring them to find out what is happening. I am a bit worried as the 0% rate is forfeited if you miss a payment!! Will post when I know what is happening. As always 1 step forward 6 back, but heading slowly in the right direction.
I guess the difference now is I am tackling and challenging anything that does not appear to be right. I was always so embarrassed before that i would just let it ride.

Hi Dolly
Sorry for not popping by sooner but life has been manic. Hope you got the dentist sorted out, some dentists have a scheme that you can join when you need treatment and you still get the benefit of insurance even though you've just joined.
Hope your 0% direct debit has been sorted out, theres always something thrown into the mix that needs sorting.
Enjoy your Sunday night xx0 -
Hi Dolly
You've not posted for a while. I hope all is well and you are just busy with life. One more week of term here and then two glorious weeks for the Easter holidays. Can't wait.
Let us know how things are.
