It's only money!! WHAT!!!

This is really starting to grind my gears when people are saying 'it's only money, atleast you got your health' when you are worrying where your next next penny is going to come from, or what your next meal may be if you are having one.

It is technically true but it really is annoying when people are overly positive, especially when they have no idea what it's like to be in your place.

I am very greatful for my good health and extremely lucky with most things in my life, but this 'it's only money' talk needs to end.

My bf's family (esp his mum) are demons for this - then they wonder why their son has has debt problems over and over again and it's now affecting our lives together?! As a result, he's taken on that logic... *sigh*

While I'm the first to say money's not everything, it's important. Feeling you're okay for money gives you some security, it's what keeps a roof over your head, food in your tum and clothes on your back - even more so if you have kids... For people who think money doesn't matter, try living in a house so cold and damp that it makes you ill... and as for the depression/anxiety problems that so often accompany debt, don't even get me started.

Money... Not everything, but a bit like air - it's not important till you're running out of it!

That comment nearly reduced me to tears....

I really wish I was a billionnaire knowing what I know now, I would want to help so many people out. Some people bring debt on themselves intentionally and most do not and I really wish I could do something to make lives better for those who need that bit of extra security.

It's amazing how a piece of paper with the queens head on it can make so many people happy and so many miserable.

I can see their point at the end of the day it is only money it wont bring you ultimate bliss or like people say at least I have my health there are some rich people with horrible illnesses who would give every penny to be healthy.. BUT like vampiric addiction says its not important until you're running out of it. Money doesn't matter to me I'd rather have time with my family and friends than have them lavish me with expensive gifts. At the end of the day its a necessary evil and other things SHOULD matter more but sadly the credit card/loan companies & banks etc dont seem to have that attitude!
