As long as your OH goes by that rule of thumb, he'll be fine. I hate DJs who cater to themselves & do what they want to do rather than go with the majority - in terms of song choices & ignoring requests as well as volume.
In terms of tracks, if you're expecting 40+ as well, I'd go for some older classics like Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi & Spandau Ballet as well as current Lady Gaga etc.0
