Congratulations fly! Such a shame that things didn't go as planned, but at least you managed the most important bits of the day! Good excuse to do it all again in 6 months time - with NO snow!!!! x

PS Love the pic! Very twirly!

Oh bless you. I came on here today to see if you'd updated.

At least this way, you get two celebrations!
  • Congrats!

Shame about the weather, but annoyingly that is the one thing we can't plan for!

Sounds like everybody involved has been very nice and its good to hear you can have a later blessing ceremony.

Loving the swirly picture! your dress looks lovely.. want more piccies! lol

Congratulations and ((((big hug))) at the same time....at least you were able to make it and you'll get your second ceremony later. And on the other hand it will be a talking point in the future when the upset's healed a bit...my friend lost her reception venue to the big hurricane of 1987, the grounds to the registry office were a mass of uprooted trees, several guests didn't make it etc. She was pretty gutted at the time but now looks back with amusement on it :)
  • Congratulation.
Good on the pub for getting things back on track for you. I would have been the same as you, swept away with it all on the day, but gutted afterwards.

I'm so sorry the weather spoiled your day but just think...you're married! AND you get to wear your dress again and have another party to celebrate in 2011 :)

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
