think there's a part missing from old food processor...

Options
Hiya oldstylers

Have just dusted down a Biffinet food processor that;s been sitting on top of the kitchen cupboard for a few years...probaby only used it one or twice but hoping to use it more now.

Have washed it and it works!! BUT i must be missing a bit - there should be a round steel disc to fit the different slicing and grating attachments to.. i think! have the slicer attachment and the blender jug - but obviously the other bits are useless without the main disc that they slot into.

Any ideas if I can get a replacement? it was a Lidl processor.

Also, not really sure what to use the main slicer bit for... gonna try to make my own castor sugar as attempting to bake and have none! thanks

Just wondering is the bit your looking for steel or plastic? Mine has a plastic disc with a section that all the blades push into.

I just had this with a Bush processor as I broke the whisk, but you don't seem to be able to buy the accessories or attachments.
  • Found it!
Was clearing out kitchen drawers and found the plastic disc, so the blades fit into the disc, BUT the blooming thing is useless! Tried to grate some cheese and it just kept getting stuck in the disc, think it's going back on top of the kitchen units

Cheese maybe a bit soft for the speed it spins at.

Try a carrot before you give up. I use the grater when making coleslaw and the slicer if I'm doing a hotpot thing that needs thin sliced potato on top.

I use the blade all the time to chop up onion - so many less tears!

If yours has a liquidizer that is great for soups and smoothies.
