Nectar points at Sainsbury's

Hi guys,
Just a quick question - I have around 8000 Nectar points on my card but have never spent them. How would I go about spending them in-store at Sainsbury's? Could I do a £40 Christmas shop at Sainsbury's and use all my points in one go?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, just ask to redeem your nectar points when they scan your card as you pay

You can redeem them as "vouchers", each voucher is 500 points which is worth £2.50, so when you are at the checkout you ask to redeem your vouchers & can either say you want to redeem all of your points or "£££ worth".
It's very easy and if you mount up the points, which you seem to have done it makes a huge difference to your shopping bill and can seem like free money :j
