Didn't get the phone I'd won....

....got a cheaper one.

My phone came today from Phones4U that I'd won on Santas Vault. Wasn't the phone I was told I'd won though...just a really cheap one. Wonder who's got mine.

Still...something for nothing, so I'm trying not to be too disappointed.

Firstly well done!

Secondly, why don't you contact them? I'm pretty sure competitions can offer alternatives, but usually they let you know beforehand, and it's usually around the same price margin. Just ask them whats going on.

Forgot to say...(how rude of me ). Thank you don'tknow1 for posting the comp.

I'm actually seeing it now as a blessing in disguise...I'm hopeless at technology, so this one will be easier for me to use. My daughter had her eye on the one I'd won an Alcatel Rainbow (an exclusive edition) with preloaded songs..she wanted it because it was pink. At least she won't want this one, so I get to keep it myself.

you should get in touch with them , its not ungrateful , just say althpugh you were delihted to recieve the phone your daughter is expecting the one stated as a christmas pressie or summat like that not the lesser value one you recieved !!

i'd just contact them. I won a blackberry curve from them but they sent a pearl which was worth more. I was made up but when i tried to charge it the charger was broke, the woman was lovely and sent me a new charger so quickly.

I just rang them and they said that the terms state they're allowed to send a different phone.
I did say that my daughter wanted the Rainbow one because it was a pink and silver slider one and they said they didn't have any of those anyway...that the picture showing what I'd won was a pink slider Alcatel (I keep calling it Actimel but that's yoghurt) Rainbow but the ones they had instead were black normal ones...so this is instead of.
Just a case of them putting up a pic of something they didn't have, I guess. Still...a phone is a phone and I think I'm the only person in Britain who doesn't have a mobile (and now I do).

Hi Fudge cake - what did it say in the winning email? It said in the vault and in my winning email I'd won a PS3 (as pictured) but the T&C say there is 2 x PS2 slimlines and no mention of a PS3??

Fingers crossed it's a PS3 but a PS2 not to be sniffed at I guess!
