Do any of you know any families who you think are living this real life?
And whats the best way to deal with this? up the min wage? cut benafits for non working households?
There are non working household local to me. They seem to have all the moden TV and computer/game gear. They were all name brand clothes.
Now its not like that in our house. we look after the money we have and dont waste it. But i dont feel that my family we might not have all the gear and all the name brand clothes but we live within our means and we own our own home.

WTC kept wages low - and killed full-time jobs as employers could employ 2-3 part-timers in many roles on minimum wage, knowing their staff would get a WTC top up ... and not caring about those who couldn't.0

Is this an assumption, or are you a nosey f*c*er who peeks though your neighbours windows 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Yep, it's easy-street for the fecund, bone-idle in broken Britain. Should, by some miracle, a pen-pusher at the dole office question their handouts, some petty thieving, working cash-in-hand or dealing some wraps will ensure the Sky+HD sub is paid.
FACT - You're a fool to yourself if you think working hard and saving is the way to get ahead in Britain. The 'seekers' know exactly how to rob you blind.0 -
sorry it's another daily mail link and i find the amount of time a person spends reading the daily mail to be directly in proportion with their levels of dissatisfaction with life.
anecdotally the wealth in our working household seems to be increasing. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
I've always worked.
I own my own house, car and (I am ashamed to admit this) more than one big telly.
Having said that my bills are rising while my income stays static so we could argue that child poverty is rising in this house.
If it gets any worse I might be forced to stop buying their clothes from Boden.
Honestly some people seem incapable of actually thinking. You are supposed to process what you read not just gulp it down!Retail is the only therapy that works0 -

Well, they hardly hid their intent, did they?
They even wrote a song about it....Beg, Steal or Borrow.0 -
