Need some help with the Oxford University Press quiz on day 4 of the Advent calendar.
http://www.oup.com/uk/academic/online/oedadventquiz/
I have 3 of the 4 required answers:
1 - what is the ‘Mae West’ that got Mae West into the dictionary?
c. A Lifejacket
2 - what is the expected response to the 13th-century greeting ‘wassail’?
B. Drink-Hail
3- in 1598 the traveller Jan van Linschoten dined on ‘rice, which they seeth in broth … and is somewhat sowre but it tasteth well, and is called ...’ What? (Hint: Search the timeline for 'sowre')
C. Curry
Having trouble with question 4:
what date does the OED give for the launch of ‘rocket’ as a word?
As far as I can see the answer is 1566
source - http://www.oed.com/view/Entry/166731
The only options given are 1556, 1557 and 1558.

I'm sorry to bump, but I'm still seeing the questions from post 1, and I can't find the advent calendar by searching. Could someone possibly post a link to the new page? Thank you:)0 -
