curtain pole was a disaster and fell back down. had to move bracket and make hole using screwdriver and hammer in raw plug (was too big for hole!). is now up in new hole. god knows why he didnt do that before instead of fannying around slapping sealant all over it. now got a massive hole (why the hell is it so big? could fit 10 screws in, no wonder it kept falling out!) in my nicely painted wall so will need tp fill, smooth and paint. will have to fill properly with filler rather than stuffing with paper in case i need to move it again.

also did not do any work and still have not tidied room!

but done surveys, soup, casserole and stairs. also went to argos and bought the unit for ensuite- not built it yet.

    plans for week (after work)-

tue- do audit and take down xmas tree
wed- dinner at friends (cancelled today as she not well)
thur- build unit in en suite and take pics and do descriptions of curtains and canvas drawers to list on market place
    fri- start address book
sat- few mystery shops and sort out all paperwork (is currently all over house shoved places and have lost council tax bill so cant pay it!)
sun- thorough clean of bedroom as noticed underbed is grey with dust from sanding en suite with door open (durrr)

having sas casserole soon and will have a quick clear up/sweep in room

    have developed goals for 2011-

    Money

    · Pay off all money to dad and overdraft (approx £7.5k)
    · Stick to budget properly
    · Stick to reduced food budget
    · Save notes left at end of week (up to £100) to use for weekends away, dancing, Spanish etc… if any more than this then pay in bank to go towards debt
    · Empty change into pots at end of week
    · Use change pots to pay for house things when needed
    · Continue to mystery shop (at least £250 per month)
    · If I make more than £250 I will put extra to one side initially (up to £100) to buy some clothes as I will need them when loose a bit of weight (already need bras, jeans and trousers but putting off for now)
    · Try and enter a few hundred comps each week and sell prizes

    Home

    · Do housework in small chunks so not doing it all weekend
    · Stick to meal plan and do not waste food

    Social

    · See friends more doing free things eg cooking, films
    · Have a weekend away every 2/3 months to visit travelling/uni friends
    · Have salsa lessons
    · Have tango lessons
    · Learn Spanish!
    · Join match.com!

    Health/fitness/self

    · Loose a bit of weight (not sure how much, just want to loose muffin top etc…)
    · Tone up
    · Gym 2 times week (Gym membership runs out end of march so would like to achieve above by then. I can then cancel and use the money for dancing social events and stay fit that way.)
    · Swim 3 times a week
    · Spend more time pampering eg exfoliate, use body butter, paint nails etc…

Oh, I'm considering joining match so keep us updated on your progress!!

You seem very organised with all your plans, I bought my first house a couple of years ago and it took me way longer than you to sort out the debts and get going doing the house up.

Good luck with it all your doing very well already:D

hmmmm so finances are not good. in fact are v bad. not sure where it has all gone :(

still waiting on £120 in refunds and money owed but am short by much more than that :( only 2 MS this weekend as well :( on the plus side i am working 28th in evening so hope to get that as overtime.

find it v hard to budget for stuff eg weekend in manchester 5th march. i get paid 2 more times before then but as i am getting train i had to book now to get cheap tix so that was £44 not accounted for. might have to give myself weekly spends at beggining of month and reduce the next months budgets if i need to 'borrow'. also things like petrol are difficult as some months i do lots of miles for work and others i dont. suppose if try and stick to it i can put extra petrol in if needed and debt repayment will be smaller but then can put the money when reimbursed in. have not paid council tax yet either as cannot locate bill :(

when i find it i will have tp pay on cc and also tax bill. i will pay it off in full when paid and then see where i am at the end of month.

going out next weekend but should easily do that on the weekly budget. nothing for two w/e after then one before pay i am off to london. already bought train ticket and got show for £16. due to that saving and the fact my friend has said she will but the wine we are off to the ivy for lunch :D looked online and will be about £20 for a main so not that much more than pub. if i save some from those two weeks that will pay for it.

think the trouble is there have been lots of things i have 'needed' this month such as a unit for bathroom, vase and flowers, new bathroom accessories etc... as i have not been doing my budget everything has gone on card so losing track. in future i will not buy things i 'need' for the house unless i have enough cash in change tin!

    :(

hmmm so payday has been and gone :( still waitying on £10.5 from sis (keep forgetting to arrange this) and £55 refund from item bought from survey. after these come in i will still be short £486 (on credit card and overdraft)!!!:eek::eek: this includes the tax bill though.

so need to get this amount extra this month from somewhere

just had £110 paid and waiting on £47 cheque from another co so thats £160. just another £300 to magic from thin air! :( will be getting other poayments over next few weeks from other co's as well though but not that much :(

need to get as many MS as possible. just joined new co so hope to get more.

only £5 away from my target of £250 this month so hope can get more and beat that.

so had a fairly productive few days :) joined onepoll, toluna and gfk surveys and another new ms co. they look good and i have been accepted so waiting on money to come in! not picked up any more jobs but got two booked in feb now. feb may be a bit hard as i am away a bit but fingers crossed! will hopefully have some overtime on 5th as well :)

have listed few more things on marketplace at work. hopefully someone is buying some curtains for £4 (left by previous owner) and i listed a pr of expensive shoes i have that are too high. looked like i would get £10-£15 on ebay so put them on marketplace for £15. alreay had 3 ppl email about them so hope one will buy tomorrow! have also listed my canvas drawers. had them years but v good condition. currently in argos for £35 so asked for £15. if they dont sell i will list for free or freecycle to get rid.

disaster with my sheets! used vanish like i usually do as had make up on and it bleached it!:eek: not happy, i usually use it and its not even a new bottle! the sheet is dark purple and it has pink splodges on! v annoyed as i will need to replace it now :( will get one from asda as they do that colour but not buying it until there is enough in my change pots!

considered saving all £2 coins but then got 3 the other day and cant cope with losing that much of my weekly budget!

had a no spend day on sat and nearly had one on sun but gave friend 50p for car park as she didnt have enough change. only spent 60p yest to get in the sport place for salsa :)

feeling hopeful that i will stick to budget this month. did food plan and only needed about £10 of stuff. just need to buy fresh things now. got about £6 to last till fri but dont need anything. only possible problem will be work miles as i have used over half a tank since wed travelling for work and got a few inspections out of norwich to do. i have to drive as i have a lease car. may end up over that but not too bothered as i will get it back so can pay it off then.

finally had ups pick up the thing i ordered when doing a survey so my £55 should be coming soon!

have not been too impressed with match but am emailing two guys so we will see what happens!

decided to wait til sept to do spanish as hope to have 2nd payrise by then and dont really have tome atm due to all my gym visits! also i have a intro lesson booked but i might be able to do a days overtime then so thats swayed it a bit!

should probably go now as im waffling a bit! working at home today and had a productive am, just had lunch :)
