so am back at mums now. nice out with friends which came in under budget!
most exciting news is that i bought a hamster!is a little brown girl called billian! she looks like a mole and is v cute
boring budgeting for the year done yest, looks like i will be £752 off repaying overdraft and all loans from dad so challenge will be to try and get that somehow. when doing budget i put down £250 per month income from mystery shopping. when i am 'in the zone' i always do between £300-£400 so hopefully it will come from there!
there is a slight chance i will get a second payrise in oct backdated to may of £130 per month. this is depending on whether i finish my portfolio in time to sit the exam in may. fingers crossed
so happy christmas everyone :rudolf::xmastree::xmassmile:xmassign::snow_laug:snow_grin:santa2::j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

so xmas is over
at least i have billian to play with! stroked her for first time last night, she is very soft! might try and pick her up later!
had a rejig with my spreadsheets, made one for each month as outgoings vary slightly, eg no council tax march, tv and council reduced to normal payments from april, payrise from april etc.. also takes into account the months with 5 fridays as means my weekly spends are £40 more.
however i have reduced my food from £80 to £70. will need to maker sure i meal plan properly and stop eating crap. going to start making popcorn instead of buying crisps as is only about 80p for a big bag of corn which will last for a few months! any left over will be kept to one side to be used for months when i need to spend more (some months i will not need to batch cook).
have also reduced petrol to £60 a month. i have worked out it is less than £30 a month for driving to work, doing the weekly audit and a few trips to supermarket, diy shop etc... any left over will be kept to one side to be used for months when i need to spend more eg weekend away.
rejiged repayment plan and means at end of year, i will only be £392 short of repaying all of dads money, tax bill, overdraft, house insurance and allowing £500 for a holiday! so really will try and find £392 to clear it all!
time for a rant!!!!!!!! only managed to pay dad money towards 2nd loan on xmas eve. tried for days to add him as payee for one off payment on natwest online banking. would not do it and was same in summer when i tried. called them up and they said i cannot do one offs to him online as i have a standing order! she was like 'you can just phone up and do it'! was not happy was whole reason for online banking is so i dont have to phone up! she suggested cancelling standing order but dont want to do that as i do s/o on payday and then at end of month just want to transfer any left over! cant even transfer to my nationwide account and pay him from that as i also have a s/o to that account for the present and haircut payments! grrrrrr!
dad only has one bank account but luckily he has given me details for his saving account so can pay in there! grrrrr! so annoying stupid bank!
started doping tax return today. mum fixed the calculations on the spreadsheet so i only need to pay £184 in tax!
prob wont have enough to pay it in full this pay run due to billian purchases but can pay it few days after payday when bulk of ms money comes.
clippy has naughty and spent £32 on debenhams website buying toilet brush/holder, soap dispenser and tumbler as are lovely purple colour to go in en suite. am collecting from store though so no delivery. will just need to cut back weekly budget till payday!
good news is i already have £151.95 in ms booked for jan!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
so back home now. billian seesm a bit traumatised after the journey
 have left her downstairs so hope she sorts herself out somewhere to sleep/hide (hasnt been in house or box where her bedding is
)
so went to asda an hr before closing. got 2 packs of lean mince for 30p each and 2 packs sausages for 10p each. still spent £56!!!!!:eek::eek::eek: worried i will run out now! that is the whole amount i have budgeted fot food for rest of month and 3 weeks till payday. although should only need to buy milk and some fruit and yoghurts.
so jobs for tomorrow after work-
fill in hole in front room
give holes extra filling in ensuite
finish (start) unpacking
make spicy parsnip soup with reduced parsnips
possibly make cherry loaf
enter more comps!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

have finished decorating, bloody knackered and covered in injuries! got bruises on shins from stepladder, scrapes on knees from kneeling, gash on knee from catching it on a screw under the bed (serves me right for bottom shuffling round the room when doing the bottom edge
), blisters on palm from brush and scrapes on knuckles from horid artex on ceiling!
just had a long hot bath in my lovely now pink en suite! looks v nice and only cost me-
£16.99 pink paint
£32 toilet brush/holder, soap dispenser and tumbler (know is a lot but they were so nice and shiney and purple
£25 for a little unit i am buying
£9 vase and dried flours
was cheap but only because i only moved in in oct and bought bathmat, towel rail, mirror etc! just need to get a toilrt roll ring
painted my lodgers room as well, looks nice. problem is one of the rings to hold the curtain pole up was glued tp the wall with what looked like sealant. i pulled it down (was loose anyway) to paint and neaten it up and now it wont stay up! please god stay up or she wont have curtains when shes back tomorrow!
so plans for tomorrow-
try and put curtain ring back up- priority!
dish up sausage caserole into containers (is in slow cooker overnight)
make butternut squash soup
tidy room and sweep stairs
clean out billian and put her in the ball for the first time
do my 3 surveys (and hope the phone lines open so i can call!)
do a hr or so's work (for job)
if i get a chance list the curtains and canvas drawers on intranet (handy as have work laptop at home)
but oopsieappear to have got paint on curtains in dining room! must have brushed past and had some wet on leg. they are ones that were up when i moved in as i have not got round to ironing mine and hanging them. but they were quite nice so was going to try and sell them! will have to see if i can get it out without ruining them (they are suade).
once i have done that i am going round friends and she is cooking dinner!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hmmm this month might not be quite as bad as i thought finance wise. i have £146 left in bank and still got £196 of bills to pay so i will be minus £50. however friend owes me £38 from holiday and ds owes me £10.50. i am also owed about £80 in refunds for stuff i bought for surveys. so should end up with nearly £80 left
i havbe a full tank of petrol and enough food to last until payday (16 days). will just have to buy bread, milk, yoghurt and fruit so maybe £10 more. also going to sign up for salsa which is £25 for 5 lessons (will need to pay in advance).
the left over can towards £184 tax bill i have to pay by 31st jan. i will pay this on my ccard and it will be paid off when i am paid in jan. this means i dont need to put as much towards tax bill and so will hopefully be able to pay off some money to dad day before feb pay day. due to the tax bill i have not planned for a payment to him that month (except the usual standing order). means i will be ahead of my repayment plan a little:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
