idea's for "wintery" packed lunch

Not only are we trying to loose weight and save money, but we also want to make some "wintery" lunches for our pack up. I've been buying a WW frozen meal everyday for £1 for myself and having that and OH is still on sandwiches. Any idea's for pack up in a winter? OH is awkward and isn't too fond of stew's (though he'll eat them if they have a pastry topping lol)

I always have soup or jacket potatoes (made in the microwave at work) to warm me up. Not very exciting, but cheap and filling.

I would say HM soups (with HM bread if possible - I get a warm glow when I think of the money I'm not spending going to the canteen). How about doing a pasta bake one night larger than usual and taking the rest in and heating it up? Same with any sort of curry or chinese. If you have access to a kitchen there's always beans on toast....
