I bought my outfit, then found THE dress :(

Yeah it sucks. I bought my outfit bit by bit, spent £140 altogether and when it all came together I wasn't happy. It's too plain. Tried to find a nicer skirt because that's what's missing, the skirt is too plain. Then found THE dress. But the seller has never sold a wedding dress before, just accessories. It would be a copy as it's from China on ebay. Has anyone else seen this dress?

I don't like the skirt, it's ivory and I wanted white but couldn't return.

I'm worried that if I buy it, it won't be the right colour because it says its ivory but also says its the colour that is in the photo. Doesn't look ivory to me. I would want white.

What I would probably do is modify it and put my corset on the top and keep the bottom as kind of a skirt. I tried to find a skirt like that but can't find one.

Your outfit looks beautiful.

Just looked at your link, I know it says the dress is ivory, but go down the listing a bit further to where the colours are, and you can order it in white, not sure if its a small extra cost.

I know you said about keeping the skirt, but to me, (no dressmaking skills), can't see where you could put the corset on, as the dress swirls from the top.

May be worth a try.

Have you thought about/tried going to see someone about having a skirt made?

Your corset is lovely, but so is the top of that dress, just seems criminal to cut it up! Perhaps what you really need is for someone to make you the skirt you really want?

Thanks for the replies. What I would do is cut the neckline on the dress and then put my corset over the top so it kinda looks like a corset and skirt. Or my mum would cut it a bit lower than that and put a waist band on it. The reason I wouldn't wear the dress as it is is because of my shape, I need a steel boned corset to hold me in as I have a tummy. I'm a size 18, trying to lose weight at the moment. So with my fluctuating weight I need an outfit that can be adjusted.

I will look into getting the skirt made possibly, will need to see how much that would cost as I don't have a lot of money x
