SOA and Microsoft Money not tallying

Options
Hi all.

I'm working on an SOA using information from my Microsoft Money Account. My SOA say's I have a shortfall whilst my Microsoft Money says I'm always in the clear.

Which one is right?

I'm positive I have them all entered in correctly.
Unless it's to do with the fact that on some months (like December) I will be paid 5 times (5 Fridays next month).

Any on come across this and can explain or tell me i'm correct?

  • Not enough information. At least one is clearly wrong, but who knows which one?

For weekly pay, you either need to do a 13 month year or a 4 and 1/3 week month. If you try and mix and match then you are going to get inconsistent answers.

Sounds like its probably the issue with the number of pay periods - failing that are you sure you are including any debt repayments at the correct level -you don't have minimum payments in 1 but actual (higher) payments in the other?

So does that mean I need to take a bill x's it by 12 / 13?

Yes, for monthly bills. You will always have 13 paydays for every 12 bills.
