Morning! I'm desperate to avoid doing my cards, so am sticking firmly to mse (tho I need another cup of tea, actually). Is it snowy by you today?
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Morning! Little bit of snow and ice on the ground from yesterday but no more (so far) today. Was very slippy walking home last night!

Apple - could you study for it part-time alongside your work?

Christmas shopping is done apart from.. the stocking! And I need some more paper. All the things that needed to be posted have been posted :)

Got my philosophy assignment back last night - really really pleased with the feedback :) Waiting for one more bit of feedback for my mentoring course then I'm all finished!

Got drinks with my team at work this evening (bit nervous, first social thing with them), then going to meet Mr S for 'tea' and mulled wine at the Christmas market. I might even persuade him to buy a Christmas tree... ;)

I'm very envious of the "all posted" bit of your post above! Of course, if I sat here doing cards not avoiding them, it would be different :o

  • Ah you'll get them done when you're in the right mood for it. I still need to write cards for work actually, that's quite a big job!

I've just been finding extra food I can throw into the gardenfor the birds - found some kiwi fruit starting to go off in the fridge - I must not buy fruit I will not eat - and quartered it and out.

  • Ooh you could have made kiwi chutney - most of the fruit we buy ends up going squishy and being made into something.

Still no making going on here! I tell a lie actually - last night, for the second time since I moved, I cooked - i.e. chopped onions and veg and things. Kiwi chutney has no chance yet! I need things to be clearer - I know people are saying I sound so positive, and I *am*, but there's still no flat surface in the house apart from the kitchen working surfaces, and they're filled with the little used microwave and the makings of a gluten free Christmas pudding. Thats it! I've just cleaned the desk, but thats going to be used as my mum's overnight table when she stays in that room, and that room has to be completely clear anyway by Sunday for the floor layer! Its all a bit makeshift still.

Just realised that was a *lot* more than justified - I don't think I'l erase it tho, I could do with a good rant :D sorry for the hijack! The short answer should have been that the birds need it more than I do, of course :rotfl: nuff said!

  • Hehe! OK, there's plenty of time for chutney once you've got more space :)

Sorry again about that - I'm just off now, I really wish I wasn't going - but thanks to my sister's info, I've realised I don't need to be trapped at Gatwick if the trains get frozen - a taxi to hers is less than £20 - better than a night at an airport!

That's really good, great to have an 'escape plan'!

And don't apologise.. it will forever be known as "Karma's Chutney-Related Rant" :D xx
