Can't find a mortgage

Hope that someone can help.
I have been abroad for six years, we would like to buy a house and cannot believe how tricky it is these days. We have been back in the UK for three months.
My wife is self employed but with no tax history in the UK.
She has been earning for three years in pounds paid into our UK bank account but has been tax resident elsewhere.
We have a 60% deposit and no adverse, also we have no credit score as we owe nothing and have no credit cards.
We have been talking to Mortgage brokers who are so far drawing a blank. Our income is enough to cover the payments. I cannot believe that there is noone out there that would not like our business.
Can anyone suggest a lender that will look at us?
Thanks in anticipation.

Accept the fact that you are unlikely to obtain a mortgage until you have an established UK financial history. 3 months isn't very long.
If you wife has been self employed previously how much of her income was derived from work done for UK customers?0 -

100 % of my wifes income has been earned in the UK and paid in pounds directly to a UK bank account. She has been in the UK for less than 91 days per annum so cannot be considered tax resident thus her earning have been declared in France.
We can prove income for the last three years.
The problem seems to be that most providers have a check boxsytem and we fail on some issues. If a lender was to examine the details on there own merits then it would seem to stack up. It is just a question of finding that lender.0 -

Then there shouldn't be an issue with regards to her income. As you will have accounts for the business.
I assume that being back in the UK the business is continuing as before.
Retaining a main UK bank account may well arouse interest from the HMRC. As ties are supposed to be severed entirely. Not merely restricting days in the country to under 91.0
