Oh god spent all my weekly allowance in one day yesterdayI think! Lunch out with a friend, wine and then takeaway pizza for dinner! Eeeeeeeek!

Worked out today I need to save £1275 by the end of the year to pay off the venue and before the VAT goes up so no more reckless spending for me!

Hello everyone, haven't written for a few days – been keeping my head down!

Moneywise, i'm currently on £159.49 spent out of my £200 allowance and pay day is next Friday so doing well on that front.

Currently have saved £300 and have £545 left in the joint account. If we spend the £45 and manage to save the £500 then I'll be a very happy bunny!

Has anyone started buying their Xmas presents? I have! All from the Grabbits board on this site and using Quidco.

I've got the following to buy for and everone has a £20 limit

    mum
    sister 1
    sister 2
    brother in law 1
    brother in law 2
    brother 1
    brother 2
    niece
    nephew 1
    nephew 2
    future mother in law
    friend 1
    friend 2

I've managed to get so far:

mum some John Freida hair dye that was £9.99 but went down to £6.66 with Quidco cashback and then got a free £5 travel sheer blonde set that I'm going to give to my blonde friend as part of her xmas pressie!

sister 1 and 2 (plus friend 1's bday at the end of the month) - Radley are doing 3 4 2 on all items so got three purses for £65 and cahback from Quidco.

future mother in law - £2 box of chocs from Hotel Chocolat (was more but with Quidco and signing up deal brought the price right down!), or I managed to get 2 massive boxes of Thorntons £19.99 BOGOF!!

friend 2 – 7% back at HMV last weekend so got her the Jamiroquai album.

stocking filler for friend 1 and friend 2 – BHS were doing quidco cashback plus half price on alcohol stocking fillers PLUS £5 off so I got three giftsets of sparkling rose for £9.40.

    Bargains Galore!

Managed to get my 2 brothers their xmas pressies today – jumpers from GAP. Went through Quidco and got 10% cashback, plus 15% off by signing up as a new customer and as it was over £50 I used a free delivery code!

Ended up spending £50.98 but I think I managed to save around £30 what with them being sale items and using all the codes! I love this site!

I made over £10 on ebay! Not much but not bad for things that I was going to give away / throw away!

Not really posted for a few days. Fell of the money saving wagon at the weekend and spent far too much. Back on track though from Monday and it's pay day on Friday - looking forward to that!

End of month and we saved £427.38 which is better than previous months but still not good enough!

    New month starting from today.

I'm doing well, haven't spent a penny since I got paid on Friday!

Had lunch with a friend on Friday and he paid which was a bonus!

Saturday was at my sisters and then my mums so no money spent.

    Chilled all day yesterday indoors!

Need to crack on with more wedding stuff though, does anyone else feel like they do loads at the beginning and then it all comes to a stop?
  • I feel exactly like that. I don't really have too much wedding stuff left to do now!
