Exchanging Clinique make-up?

Hi all,

My lovely dad thought he was really treating me by buying me a bottle of my favourite Superbalanced foundation from Clinique. Unfortunately he went and bought a colour that is way to dark for me (bless him).

I've never returned make-up before, will a Clinique counter let me change it for the correct shade? I haven't opened the bottle, its obviously too dark just by looking at the outside. I haven't plucked up the courage to tell him yet and so don't have the receipt, how likely are they to let me exchange it?

I returned a bottle of EL foundation that was too dark for me before with no problems, like yours it was unopened and unused they are the same company as Clinique so I would give it a go:)

boots will exchange anything still sellable take it there they will be lovely no reciept required

I couldn't exchange at a clarins counter without the receipt. Even though I knew the staff and shop there a lot, it was a gift that I wanted to exchange for a different shade and couldn't

i have taken clinique stuff back and swapped before at boots and generally boots staff arent that fussy, explain situation as long as everything looks ok resellable they should be fine

I have returned clinique make-up before to exchange it for another shade and had no problems at all. Should be fine for you to do
