                    Hi
I was made BR a month ago and have now received the notice of the IPA which I knew was coming. I have e-mailed the OR to ask for a copy of the SOA she has done for my records and she has replied saying that I should have a copy which I submitted to the court. I wrote back and explained that I do have that but the numbers she came up with (namely the surplus income) are different to mine so I would like a copy of hers as that’s what we will be working too. She has ignored my request. Lets be clear I'm not disputing the IPA I am happy to pay it but I would like to know how it has been calculated.
I'm not sure where to go with this. The OR has been very efficient with everything for instance my creditors were notified within a week of my interview and buying the BI in my car was sorted in a matter of days. I don’t want to get shirty with them but really would like to see the numbers. Is this a big ask? Are they obliged to send me a copy?

Thanks again

            Hi Who

The whole idea of an IPA is that BOTH sides have to agree to the figures, your well within your rights to contact your recivers office again & ask for a breakdown of how they reached the figures, because you asked once & didnt receive anything it could be simply they're just busy...I would ring again & see what they say and IF the examiner dealing with your case still seems to be unhelpful your within your rights to complain to the receiver based at that office
it is afterall an income payment agreementWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Im glad you asked this question as the soa I filled in was altered when I had my telephone interview with my OR
i.e. there were things that they let me claim for and things that they wouldnt. So amounts were changed, I never received this new soa, I guess I should also ask my OR for a copy of the soa on my file

Well I sent another e-mail explaining why I want it so will see if she replys. She normally does within a couple of hours and sent it this morning and i've heard nothing yet. Maybe it'll turn up in the post0

i would keep pushing for it, it's only fair for you to see how they got to their figures...0

i waited 4 months and never got what break down they had come up with for me
then my circs changed and it took 6 months to get the letter confirming i didn't have to pay (which i hadn't been doing as i didnt have the money)Total Weight Loss - 28lb and countingAD 17/11/20100

Curly I think you and I live parallel lives.
Op, ask again for teh breakdown, i got one with mine, but they are generally slow. If you have the IPA amount pay it straight away. We contested some figures and ended up being asked to backdate it and we didn't have the money saved up. 0 0

I think the problem may be terminology here, The Term SOA actually means the whole of the form that you submit to the court and so the OR is right in saying this. What we use on here to mean SOA is the income and expenditure list so write back and ask for a calculation of how the IPA has been worked outHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
