Just been looking about for one and seen this one, its the cheapest i've seen at £7.36 but does have £3.87 delivery charge.
BUT If you join upto this site and use the code they give you can get it for £6.62 instead.
But the site is really good for bits and bobs and cheap stocking fillers, they have flying lanterns quite cheap too....all halloween sold out though!
Not had time to sift through the site but any more bargains please post
EDIT# to get the items cheap you have to sign upto a 30day pass which it does automatically, but you must cancel as it charges you £20 a month after 30 days....only just seen this at the checkout.....so its up to you if you want to get stuff cheap then cancel. Click on the what is redsave price link to explain it.

Is it easy enough to cancel the pass? Have been looking for one of these for a long time..0

I love the delivery quote:Delivery is usually a few working days or less to mainland UK.
(During extreme demand/weather, live ants may take up to 28 working days.)
Does this mean they use live ants to deliver their goods in extreme weather conditions ??!!??0 -
Didn't I see a post advising to avoid this company ??0

Dont see point in these any way you wont get much heat from dried paper and you will get lots of ash0 -
You really need to make these in the summer, as they take weeks and weeks to dry out.
Also, we had one of these, and thought it was great until we had a chimney fire after about six months use of the paper logs.
Fire officer said the newspaper print causes excess soot to build up in the chimney. We'd had the chimney swept the summer before, and it may have been coincidence that we had the fire, but we stopped using them, and log maker went to freecycle.
Sorry to spoil the party.0 -
Hi We have one stuck in our garage that we brought a couple of summers back and only made one batch of bricks with because it takes a huge amount of effort to make but it takes an age for these to dry out, a greenhouse in a hot summer may help. It really wasnt worth it and we didnt find that they let out much heat when burning.0

Thanks for the advice, good job i haven't bought it yet
I did put it in my basket then got distracted and not got round to it and never will now

I have made quite a few bricks from a maker like this (got on amazon) and thought they burnt really well. It is rather time consuming and if like me you use a bit of shredded paper (from the work shredder) it is really messy as litle bits go everywhere!!
If you have the spare time and paper then it is worth doing but you really should make them through the summer as they take ages to dry. We also add nice smelling bits into the bricks like rosemary in the middle so you get a bit of a smell when burning0 -
Picked up one from B&Q for a pound IIRC - nice tip about rosemary - they're a bit whiffy without. I've only made two - from shredded paper.
I thought these were just to use in chimineas?
I wouldn't go near anything redsave related mind.0
