New boots now fit - success!

Thought I'd share my 'bright idea' with you.
I have a new pair of ankle boots (half price in the Next sale, hurray!) and they fitted perfectly around the toes, but slipped a bit at the heel. The only idea I had at first was to use those stick on heel-grips, but I really don't like them.
Then I thought that if I took an old pair of socks and cut off the toe end I could wear the heel part over my ordinary socks for extra cushioning and padding. Tried it yesterday, and it works fine, boots are lovely and comfy now, and as I have several pairs of old sports socks I now don't feel I have to just throw them away!
