OR office interview over

We had a joint OR interview this morning (OH and I both BR at the same time). Unfortunately, OH ended up in casualty last night with a head wound (looooong story) so he was in no fit state to attend with me today.

So I went myself - its fair to say I was very nervous (cr**ping it might best describe it really), but 30 minutes later, all our SOA statement had been gone through, my car, the house, my IPA and NIL tax info had been discussed and agreed, and I left the interview feeling like my OR is the bees knees, cats pyjamas, and dogs fluffballs all rolled into one!
He was more generous with our incomings and outgoings than I had been on the SOA, so we have about £60 per month less of an IPA than I thought we'd get, he wasn't remotely interested in my car because its worth way less than £2,000, and he suggested we get a realistic valuation on the house and ask to buy the BI in the next 6 months or so (there is a chance it will be in negative equity). He didn't ask for any wageslips, bank statements, cc statements, nothing.

OH will have an interview with the same OR in a couple of weeks time, when he's hopefully fit as a fiddle again.

While I was on a roll, I went straight from the OR's office to Barclays, to confirm they wouldn't be closing my Connect account and they didn't need anything in writing from the OR. They also said that when my home insurance is up for renewal, they do no credit checks to set up a DD as I'm a customer anyway, so they can quote me for insurance too.

Phew! I feel weird - was very elated this morning, but have been tearful since - I feel more in need of a good drink now than the day we went to Court - but in a good way :) (I think).

  • Good stuff, thanks for sharing. I'd have a little something to celebrate the new beginning personally. Make sure its reasonably priced though in the spirit of moneysaving lol
Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.
