How to sell 'large' items

I have two large items to sell.
The first is an office desk. It's from IKEA and is called 'Anton'. It originally cost £119 a few months ago, but I've decided it's too big for my small study. Have only used it for a couple of months so is in excellent condition. Think it should easily be worth £75.
The second is an Iiyama 21" monitor. Model MF-8221. Excellent monitor, but big - it's a CRT rather than a TFT. Will only ask about £60 for it.
However, since both are large/heavy items, if I sold them on E-bay they are likely to cost a LOT of money to post. Alternatively I could try to sell in my local yellow Freeads, but there will be less chance of finding a suitable buyer there. Has anybody had success in sellin on Ebay but specifying 'collect only'?
Any other advice?
Cheers,
Don

There are 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't!

I sold a velux window and specified Collection Only. Had a fair bit of interest and had several bids. Sold slightly higher than I had hoped for.0

Large / Heavy items can be quite cheap to send by courier, if you pick the right one. For example with http://www.parcel2go.com/ you can send something up to 4 cubic feet and weighing up to 25Kg for £8.99 + VAT for next day delivery. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
