I have a box on my spreadsheet which was red at its peak and will be green when everything is paid, its currently yellowish.
You say halifax are raising your CC rates? have you rejected that?Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Hi all, I'm the same, really impatient and always waiting on next payday! I look at my spreadsheet everyday and forecast when I'll be debt free - hopefully in six months, but have been doing this since October 2008 so it's been a long slog. BUT, two years has past and my debt is down, so looking good. My problem is life gets in the way and I've added to it, but I'd go mad if I couldn't spend ANY money IYSWIM.0

I actually look forward to my credit card bills coming in now so I can make my next payment and update the spreadsheet. Know what you mean about it going slowly though. There always seem to be little bits here and there that stop me getting the overdraft cleared, although at least the debt isn't getting worse. Just think about how much more you'd be getting in debt if you weren't putting the hard work in now! I dread to think what state I'd be in if I hadn't started tackling it.
We'll make it and then we might actually have some money to save! Imagine that.....0 -
Does anyone else repeatedly check their spreadsheets just to look at them even though nothing would have changed? haha

I did for a short while but found it actually made the process feel slower, no it only gets opened a few times a month so feels like its moving faster as its changed everytime I look.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

Don't let Halifax raise your card rate! (They all seem to be doing this at the moment )
Read this.....

And close the accounts down and reject the rate rise. If it's an overdraft, close it and pay it off...bit by bit!!!!!:D"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I have colours on my speadsheet. When a payment goes out it changes I also have a 'paid' column which changes the balance I have left to the end of the month. The first week of the month is excel ecstacy for me!!

Wholeheartedly agree with all your comments. So relieved to know that I'm not the only one with an OCD for an Excel spreadsheet! I look at it everyday - I even have a forecast of what my income/expenditure will be like when I'm eventually debt free! How sad is that?! It floats my boat and keeps me on the straight and narrow. I'm not making any big dents into the debt at the moment but I have stopped it increasing. 2011 will be my year to make serious in roads me thinks! Thanks for the post - as I said, nice to know I'm not on my own :beer:Debt Free Date Target 31/12/2014
